Alamo Drafthouse is a cool, indie-focused theater and bar in the Bloc on 7th Street downtown. I'll gladly come back to watch my movies here! First off, it was difficult finding where to park. But a regular brew is just fine with me too! The seats are comfy, pleather that let you prop your legs up while keeping you upright enough to eat any of the great things on the menu. Just had drinks didn't try the food. No talking, phone usage or any type of behavior that is disruptive.

Here tickets are only 18 each and drinks are food are all about average as far as price goes. Their gaming tables are cool, with cup holders off the actual table top. Which was fine and got the job done but it wasn't what I ordered or paid for. I made sure to avoid that room at all costs and thankfully that was not the theatre we set out for! I arrived half an hour early for my movie and spent 20 minutes on a Friday evening circling around the single floor of parking they have available for theater parking and couldn't find a space. You're coming in hot in 2019! Cool way to kick off the movie experience, walking through the corridor. The staff is great, the sightlines are best in middle to back rows unless you come packing a neck cushion.

The man sitting next to me ordered 2 plates of chicken wings and all I smelled the entire movie was his chicken wings and his burps. The service was prompt and I had my food before the movie even started. But there is no movie house decked and dressed to the nines for every movie-lover out there. You have to lean forward constantly and be careful not to spill anything onto yourself. I liked that they have sour beers on the menu. Even during the movie, the server was quick to grab my order slip for the boost chocolate covered cherry shake. I have tried and enjoyed their theme drinks based on the movies playing.

This place makes catching a movie quite the event. Figured that's what you might've cared about more. In a nutshell, we have zero tolerance for talking or cell phone usage of any kind during a show. There is a full bar located near the entrance which is cool if you want to keep the party going after the movie. Prepare for silverware clanking, munching sounds, ice swirling in cups throughout the entire movie. Yes folks, it is a chain. There is a 2 and a 2R and it's very unclear which is the theater entrance.

And this elevator is the slowest elevator I've ever encountered. Definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants a great movie experience and fun atmosphere. I was there just last night and ordered the loaded fries and there were barely any toppings. Cool movie selection as well : First time at one of these! I ordered some fried pickles and I was surprised how tasty they were. The parking, on the other hand, is a nightmare. Pleasantly surprised how much better this theater is compared to the rest and reasonably priced too. They also have movies that you can rent for free, and a little themed shop.

I really appreciate their curated collection of cult classics, foreign films, box office hits and fascinating documentaries. I'm aiming to come back to try their brunch and their adult milkshakes! I was further confused when I exited the elevator on 2R to enter a gift shop? Eclectic,unique fun place to hang with friends or date! Being able to emotionally eat while watching a movie like you'd do at home The servers have always been nice Cons: The food is just ok. This location has an 80s themed lounge when you walk in major Stranger Things vibes , an awesome selection of the best mainstream and indie-cool movies, and a really well thought out calendar of special events think music video dance party nights; a costumed premiere of Downtown Abbey; classic movie matinees. Finding the elevator to the theater was also difficult, so I think there should be just more branding and signage. And for those who don't completely know, I am indeed a part of that population in the world who dislikes clowns but Stephen King's It is too much of a classic to pass up. Warning: If you have an issue with hearing people eat, this is probably not the place for you.

It was getting near showtime, so I decided to leave and try my luck on the street. We started at the bar, which was certainly interesting, to say the least. Tried their mega bowl of truffle popcorn and yes. Part of our famous attention to detail is our strict policy that requires audiences to maintain proper cinema going etiquette. I honestly knew nothing about it until we went to see Parasite amazing film btw, go see it. Theater is super clean and staff was super friendly and efficient. Even though I was hoping for the extra surround sounds to keep me awake because we went for a 10pm showing.

I understand that a ton of people love this theater, including my friends, but it's not my personal cup of tea. You're going to want to. The concept was really cool. Pretty extensive menu hello, half bottles of wine! The best food, film and drinks. Eventually after over 5 minutes of waiting I was let out of the building and was able to find expensive street parking and made it to the theater before previews ended. I was there early and the staff wasn't busy so I tried to order something by asking her, and she snapped at me and said I had to write it down, to which someone took my piece of paper 15 minutes later.
