Anker Hotel

I was impressed with Anker Hotel and would definitely stay here again if I visit Oslo. The location was perfect, as we were there to see a show at the Folkentheateret, which is just down the street - as is everything else! Both warm and cold food. The rooms are a little small, and the beds were single - but they are some of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept on in a hotel. Helt ok rom med god utsikt. The staff is friendly but they could use an extra person to help with storing luggage. Parking is available for a fee.

I had an easy check in and the room was perfect for my sleeping needs. The rooms are clean, but paint is scaling off the ceiling. Free breakfast is served daily. Don't expect much choice if you are a vegetarian or vegan as most of the food is meat based. Also, Oslo Spektrum is within half a mile 1 km and Karl Johan Street is within 2 miles 3 km. Multilingual staff, ski storage, and a garden are also featured at the business-friendly Anker Hotel.

Flat-screen televisions come with satellite channels. But if you are into big fluffy clean towels and clean crisp sheets every day, forget it again. The bathroom was fine, with toiletries, towels and a hot shower. To be told that it's accessible only in the lobby and not in the rooms isn't a fix. Upon check in, one guest was complaining about someone stealing his luggage out of the lobby and just walking out of the hotel. The rooms could also use some darker curtains.

Great hotel and in a perfect location for travel. Small Scandinavian style rooms with efficient space. Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. This 3-star Oslo hotel is smoke free. There is complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby all the time, and the bar is pretty cute as well. I was able to buy postcards to send home and they put together all the postage and such for me and shipped them off. Clean and comfortable but nothing special.

The hotel has a luggage store which needs a good clean , toilets available in reception and Wifi. Anything you'd imagine is there. The room was a bit small, and sparsely furnished. Small bathroom with the shower only. Public spaces have free WiFi. Will definitelly stay there again. Pretty much everyone can go in the storage room and take luggage.

Have a great day ahead and we hope to see you again soon. We really appreciate that you have taken the time to write about your experience. When the bar is closed, just go to the front desk and they'll get it for you. Would rather pay for an hour of efficient internet, rather than being logged off every five mins. Comfortable decent size rooms, very complete breakfast and a bar downstairs. It's Summer 2013 and it's dog eared in my opinion. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and no issues with the bathroom.

Når vi var der var det mye veiarbeid i området, men rommene er godt lydisolert så det gjorde ingenting. This place can not decide if it is an upscale hostel with private rooms and breakfast or a hotel with small no frills rooms and a buffet. This hotel is cheap for Oslo but would probably still be considered fairly expensive anywhere else. My room was basic, comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room to hang clothes and store folded clothes. Breakfast is included which is helpful in the most expensive city in the world, but is an average spread with overcooked scrambled eggs. They have none of that. I had a chance to try some new and different foods that I hadn't before - so that was cool.

I recommend this basic hotel for a short stay and given the cost of food in Norway, I thought it was excellent value for money. On the tenth floor, I had a good view from my window and could see across to the ski jump. Wifi var helt ubrukelig så der mister de også poeng. If you are looking for cheap, no frills downtown accommodations with a lot of barely making it guests, this is the place to stay. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast! Other than that, it's not special in any way. The location of the hotel is excellent, being just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Oslo.
