Even though this jacket is the least expensive of the 3, I use this jacket about 90% of the time. The main reason is that my 2 Gore-tex Pro jackets are an overkill for most purposes. I was sorry to return it, it filled an activewear nitch between the other two. I use my Scorpion jacket almost exclusively for skiing and snowboarding which is what it is designed to do. But it is also thicker and makes a lot of plasticy noise. However, the fabric has a mini ripstop construction that provides added tear strength without impacting weight.
. As soon as I put this on I started heating up and was uncomfortable, even unzipped. This is my only hybrid Gore-Tex paclight jacket. This jacket is more than fine for rigorous hiking but maybe not so fine for climbing Mt Everest. The low profile Stormhood offers complete coverage with a streamlined design. The Trim fit reduces fabric requirements and improves breathability.
Overall, I find this jacket to fit my everyday needs perfectly and I do find my two Gore-Tex Pro jackets to be an overkill for most weather conditions. It also suffices if you layer and wear something warm underneath for 30-50 F weather. I have 3 jackets from Arcteryx and all of them are fantastic. It was a great jacket in all other respects - fit, finish, quality fabric, utility. But I do find myself, however, needing a lightweight windproof and rainproof jacket under normal conditions especially for travels. Is this jacket breathable as Gore-tex Pro? My temperature regulates well even while active and I stay dry in my Patagonia Storm Racer and Windsweep jackets. Probably not, but you won't care unless you are sweating like there is no tomorrow.
