The place is small and is an odd mix of high-ish class style with street vendor quickness of service. The location is a little sketchy with questionable late night activities in the area. The interior decor is perfectly streamlined and modern without being too ethnic or too sparse. We sat down for the annual parade at the window seat, and they were super nice and accommodating. Food arrives quickly to the table, just as it would with real street food in Thailand.

This is a great spot for something casual cheap but fun in city centre. The calamari had a crunchy coating that reminded me of fried chicken. I had the duck which was to cooked to perfection and the strawberry gelato was to die for. Clean and fresh decor, friendly staff reasonable prices and city centre location. The prices are reasonable, each of these is a fiver. Be mindful of coming later at night.

Really excellent and would highly recommend. If I'm ever back in Limerick I will make it a point to hit Aroi for lunch or dinner! The location is good and the service was good as well. They're okay but not anything that I would crave or overly recommend. The place gets a bit loud so I wouldn't call it a romantic date night spot but it is lovely for when you want a nicer meal. Mostly Thai style and curry flavors.

This place was absolutely amazing! Want chicken or tofu instead of pork, ok! I wholeheartedly enjoyed my experience dining at Aroi and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kilkenny. I had the pad Thai and I was actually surprised at how good it was. Also, the chef is more than happy to make a dish to your specifications- don't want mushrooms? I've eaten there just once, and the service was very quick. While I debated about getting some irish food while over here, my heart ended up taking me to Aroi- both for its inexpensive lunch sets as well as their high quality Malay and Thai food. However, my eyes were set on their Nasi Goreng which was bit pricier but ended up being some of the best I've ever eaten. The green curry chicken was the best I've ever had the duck spring were also amazing! I have recommend this lovely spot to all my crew mates. My sister had a different noodle dish with pork, and she loved her meal as well.

Ask for dishes to be coursed, if that's what you prefer. Aroi, which took the place of Pecked, is a great addition to the restaurant choices in Limerick. . We ordered some starters, a salad and a spicy hot main course, along with some beers. It was hopping the night we were in after the match, duh , and had a lovely buzz to it.

Next time I'm in Limerick, I know where I will be. The tables easily accommodate groups of 1-4 but you would want to call ahead for a reservation for larger groups. They're okay but not anything that I would crave or overly recommend. The green curry chicken was the best I've ever had the duck spring were also amazing! A very large menu with a relatively small vegetarian menu, which is one of my only gripes. More so by being priced very, very low like a tenner for a main course?? To top it off, my strawberry gelato was the perfect way to end my meal. There is a large open seating area in the middle with natural ceiling light coming inside.

They have a lunch special that I would suggest trying. All good really and will continue to return in the future. There is a selection of ice creams, sorbets, and gelato for after the meal that are actually quite tasty. Traveling to Kilkenny from Dublin, I was looking forward to trying some new restaurants in this quaint little town. Each dish was perfectly crafted and did not disappoint. We stopped in here by chance when in Limerick for a rugby game.

I was bummed that they were out of Singha, my go-to Thai beer, but I put down a couple Tigers pretty easily. It's been the best Thai food over had in a long time, and my friends who ate with me agreed. Those offerings included typical Southeast Asian fare such as Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, etc. This place was not too fancy but nice enough not to feel like a hole in the wall. The staff are overwhelmingly kind and usually remember us as we are repeat customers. The menu is small but you will find something for everyone.

I'm not a huge fan of any of their dishes however and find a lot of them are very bland unless you like spicy food which I do not. Also delicious was the shrimp pad thai. They have a kind, pleasant staff, delicious food, and a bustling atmosphere. There's a diner feel to the decor and classic rock ballad music is the order of the day. We had pad Thai and pineapple fried rice as well as the yellow curry. I read about Aroi in an Independent article when I was doing research on Limerick. Unfortunately it was a gloomy day in Kilkenny, but I was impressed with the interior design creating a comfortable atmosphere to dine in during lunch.

In fact, if you plan to stop in on a Friday or Saturday night, you might be hard-pressed to find an available table if you haven't made a reservation. I have recommend this lovely spot to all my crew mates. There were tons of shrimp, plus teeny tiny dried shrimp which added incredible flavor. The interior reminds me of a hip spot that turns into a club at night. There was also a nice selection of beverages and I even tried some mango sorbet. The place itself is lovely - modern, clean decor.
