They had done some renovations and my room was fabulous. We were within walking distance of the family Kingdom amusement park and he loved Broadway on the beach and Boardwalk at the Beach. Also staff was friendly except 1 lady with an attitude maybe she was over the housekeeping she walked around with a clipboard. The door did not fit into the frame and so it beeped loudly enough to be heard in parking lot but cause it was the weekend no one available to fix it. We had to watch where we step at cause nobody was picking up after they pets but us and we got yelled at for not picking up after our. We took our 5 yr old grandson for his first beach trip and he can't wait to go back. They make my stays more pleasurable. The hotel itself is older, most rooms have kitchens and they have up to two bedroom units.

But staff lady at check in was great. We had to park across the street, which seems like everyone else so it was hard to find parking without a long walk then dragging luggage across the parking lot and across the street to the hostel. The employees there are super nice and very helpful. Government-issued photo identification and a credit card, debit card, or cash deposit are required at check-in for incidental charges. Located on the south end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Bar Harbor's guests are only a few steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and all the great attractions in the downtown district. Parking is horrible, the bathroom was awful. Bar Harbor Hotel right on the ocean, reasonable prices and at the center of everything on the blvd. Guest rooms will provide guests with a microwave. I called the hotel and had to cancel our reservations. The furniture had had a recent upgrade. The hotel is in a great spot. We had such an amazing time.

Also bathroom was small but clean. I love that they are pet friendly because my dog goes everywhere with me. All rooms are tastefully decorated and fully furnished with all the creature comforts of home, including queen-sized beds and kitchens with all the modern conveniences. Prices are very reasonable and everything you need is with in walking distance or a short car ride. Stay in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach while enjoying plenty of fun and relaxation at Bar Harbor.

That second trip was amazing, besides our stuff being stollen from the beach. Room was clean and neat. He just loss his dad and he took it real hard, cause he loss his three years ago. We stayed at Bar Harbor. When we first got there at the hotel we was to be on the top floor. Rooms A microwave, tea and coffee making equipment and a fridge along with a seating area, a closet and a separate toilet are provided in every room. He need a break and to just relax and enjoy himself. Something for all family types. There was no window to the front of the room and no peep hole so you can't see who's on the other side of the door. The carpet had not been vacuumed. . I know this would be great for him and me.

This was the first time my girls had ever been to the beach. But outisde the room is where the fun begins. In 2012 we arrived at myrtle beach we did not have reservations. Internet Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel for free. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Only bookings from non-local guests are accepted. The furniture was covered in a fine white substance. The boardwalk starts in the back of the hotel, the pier is next door and has a great restaurant, the pavilion area is about 10 blocks away and a great family walk and its about two minutes to get to Family Kingdom to ride all the fun rides.

The outside of the property could use more work.
