However, I would gladly place the Bluesound in my mid-level home theater separates setup, if I thought I could squeeze more sound fidelity out of my digital audio there. To do this, and to appeal to wallet-conscious non-audiophiles and audiophiles alike, it not only has to sound as good as claimed but it also has to be affordable. I connected to my stereo receiver and which is pretty far from my router. Considering its price versus performance and features, trying to find fault with the Node 2i would be akin to expressing disappointment at your 10-year-old child because they only read at a 14-year-old level. From here the testing gets more difficult in that I have play special signals that the Audio Precision needs to correctly capture and sync up since it has no control over their playback cadence.

Things like subwoofer output are nice touches too. I absolutely think that it is. I was having trouble with my vinyl setup, and when I called the store that originally sold it to me they actually suggested that I call Bright Audio. But the Pulse 2i now struggles to organise instrumental strands as its predecessor did, and it fails to inject them with the same life that saw it retain its five stars when all else in the range dropped theirs. Simon makies a good point. The richness across the frequencies is retained, but the soundstage appears further opened and with even more granular detail fed in.
