I have seen several trailers of the movie, and from that it looks like Rami Malek truly is Freddie Mercury reincarnated. I haven't seen the film but from what I've read I think that Sasha Baron Cohen was more on the right track with his more raw version of the film than the band members May and Taylor who allegedly wanted to whitewash certain grim truths about Freddy's double lives. If you are a hard core fan of Queen, than you'll definitely want to go back in time and relive the shining vocals of Freddie Mercury and the tales that made Queen want you to break free. But the legacy of Queen still lives on. As for the music, it is amazing. I understand that they wanted to respect his legacy, but the circumstances surrounding his death are a huge part of that legacy.

Firstly, it's a beautiful package with high quality thick inner sleeves, as well as a durable attractive outer sleeve. They use a silhouette of actor Rami Malek, posing in the iconic Freddie Mercury pose from the cover of the Wembley Stadium album against a royal purple sunset. I really want to like it. The music makes up for a lot, that;s true, but in that sense the soundtrack is far more recommended than the movie itself. I do wish though that there could've been a few more Queen songs to be included here like Bicycle Race and the original recording of We Are The Champions.

They included another three live tracks, one which has never been officially released, Fat Bottomed Girls from their 1979 European tour. The pictures on the two inner sleeves are those of the actual band Queen, while the inner gatefold are stills from the film. The live tracks mixed with edited versions of classic Queen songs and some regular versions of hits songs made this a great soundtrack. The songs are definitely worthwhile checking out, and showcases a new appreciation to what Queen was really all about, rocking the world in a way that blew the roofs off of headbangers everywhere. Maybe they worked on it, adding some things to give it more body.

Another fantastic addition is the first official appearance of a Smile track on a Queen album. Their reign from the 70's and 80's was truthfully legendary. I will eventually see the film and I hope my mind will be changed about their version of the band's history. I was into Queen from the very beginning and still think their first 2 albums are a couple of the best hard rock albums of all time. I still thought it was well done but it was no longer to my taste. Saw the movie 3 times and became a serious fan of the groups and their accomplishments.

There are the classic songs that drove with Queen, Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You and their first breakout hit, Killer Queen. There are some very interesting alternate versions of some of their most iconic songs and overall it makes for a very enjoyable listen. One of the most anticipated movie releases this Fall is the long-awaited Freddy Mercury bio-pic. Queen was that group that definitely filled the voice and the void. Bohemian Rhapsody is definitely a sampler of what made Queen's music so special in the hearts of so many rock fanatics.

I feel in love with the shining rock songs all over again, and I know that this is one soundtrack you shouldn't walk away from buying. The package came later than expected even with the two day shipping and when it finally came the packaging was very poor. I was really disappointed by the shipping method so if you buy a tape please be cautious. That can be said with the new Queen biopic and soundtrack to their biggest hit, Bohemian Rhapsody. Meanwhile, enjoy this soundtrack, which should please Queen fans worldwide, both casual? The band was by then mostly a vehicle for Freddy Mercury's campy musical vision, although the vastly underrated Brian May did contribute some of their best music, and John Deacon the George Harrison of Queen , was able to produce a couple of huge hits through sheer perseverance as the odd man out.

I do wish that they had put all the songs from the Live Aid performance despite only 5 of the 7 songs being in that scene in the movie it would've been a nice exclusive touch for the soundtrack, but all in all it is a must had soundtrack. If you are new to Queen, I also suggest you buy the album first, than see the film if possible. So while this is more or less a rehash, it is a bunch more exciting, and its Queen. Ahead of that we now get the official soundtrack. I just watched the movie a few days ago and this soundtrack is a big part of why I enjoyed it! Yet, with all the highs, there were a few missed moments for the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. I haven't had much interest in the band's various incarnations since then but they are right to continue to perform their music. But in the 70's, there was a void for rock music that spoke of the soul and fire that continues to influence to the hearts of others.

The tape's case had been damaged and as you can see from the photo it has a big crack on it. Not having seen the film yet, I don't know this for a fact, but I assume that the songs on here are sequenced in the order they appear in the movie. The songs today still stand the test of time, and the soundtrack does leave a few new tricks for hard core fans to desire the soundtrack. Essentially this is another greatest hits rehash, but also not without a couple of new and exciting tidbits. Maybe legally but not really.
