It is worth mentioning that I dont't notice any fuel consumption increase compared to the Conti CrossContact. Will keep you updated on the progress. I had the chance to drive them through a rainstorm on the motorway and regional roads and they performed better than I thought they would. Will update as soon as I drive them on the snow. The last place in Dry braking.
So far the tyres kept up to their promise. Just drove 1000km on them. Again very stable and calm behaviour. My only complaint would be that the tyres are a bit noisy. As far as the tread consumption it is too early to tell how they wear. The dry handling average speed difference with the best winter tyre was 1. Can't tell for the snow and ice as I didn't experienced any this winter yet.
The handling and road feedback both dry and wet is fine, bit better in the wet, but it is up to my car which is rather a comfy cruiser, not a handling champ. I have not driven them on the snow also as there isnt any yet in my country. Nice and predictable, with good subjective breaking power in the dry, even for a heavy car. The braking distance difference with the best winter tyre was 1. In the dry they perform as expected. The external noise difference with the leader was 1.
Overall I think that they are tyres worth buying. The snow handling average speed difference with the leader was 1. The snow braking distance difference with the leader was 2. . Very stable and calm even the feel on the steering wheel is nice considering it is a winter tyre. The tyre lost to more cheaper brands like Sunny or Falken. The wet braking difference with the leader was 4.
The wet handling average speed difference with the leader was 1. Moreover, experts included into the test one reference summer tyre for comparison of results. The rolling resistance difference with the leader was 1,4 meters. They really excell in the wet, being surefooted and nimble, really good. So far I like them. Would recommend to a friend.
But I have not driven them to the limit as it is not safe to do that on the public roads. . . . .
