On rare occasions, the Canadian Tire gas station is lower too. I would ask the propane guy what the process is at your location. The Tire Centre is a joke. Awesome place if you want to buy branded clothes, jackets, boots, shoes and what not. This is a great Costco.
It would take more than 2 hours to walk home. They wait until I've lined up for 50 minutes to tell me. At checkout you pay for your stuff. If you don't already have a Costco membership, you might consider one. Anyone can use a Costco Shop Card at the fuel station, as it also serves as membership authorization for the pump. My job is to ensure Costco sells only the highest quality fuel that meets or exceeds the industry and regulatory standards.
Tell them to add a propane refill. All our stations have a phone for emergencies, conventional fire extinguishers on every fuel island, and automatic extinguishers below ground. The biggest difference that I found at least is that there are staff walking around everywhere, I did not have any questions but if I did I was glad to see that there was someone I could ask. All Costco attendants are instructed to enforce the fire code at our fuel stations. I'm surprised a company as big as Costco doesn't have the same policy across the board. Fuel is highly flammable, and we ask for our members to comply with all applicable laws and signage regarding safe refueling.
Barrie Costco only charges for what you need. If you don't feel like waiting, other gas stations in the area tend to compete in price so it all comes down to how much you feel your time is worth. Yes they have great prices but the annoyance of dealing with them isn't worth the aggravation. There's so many parts to Costco that it's a hard to give it an overall rating. It took 5 trips and long endless waiting each time to order winter tires and have them installed.
I also appreciate that there are pumps for the ketchup, mustard, and relish so there's no fussing about with opening packets or gaming with bottles. The spread warrants me picking up gas as I pass through Ajax but what's going on here? Best to go during the day on a weekday. They also have a pharmacy, gas and tire station. Higher cetane ratings have shorter ignition delays than lower cetane ratings. I would highly recommend a Costco membership for everyone. I'm used to going to a local service station.
