In 2010 his fellow Staffordshire competitor, Dave Meer, had to drop out of the England Championships organized by Elite Strongman because of injury. Hall finished in a respectable eighth place. And I want to potentially add to the deadlift world record. Hall placed fourth in his first taste of international competition. Meer arranged for Hall to take his place which led to Hall making it into the 2010 finals, which he won on his first attempt by half a point. . .
