Fitbit Alta won't stay charged

I had the same problem and finally had to contact Fitbit customer service. My charge 2 is connected to my Windows 10 laptop and at the end of September 2019 it refused to sync. Now I get 2 days max. For example, Karen Hamilton, a Fitbit user who said she received her tracker as a gift, posted on a Facebook thread in July that her two-month-old Flex was unable to hold a charge for an hour. I'm having the same problem. I cannot afford to spend so much money on a new FitBit especially since they seem to stop working so easily. But by 12:30 the battery died.

Have had my Alta since it first shipped in March. My Alta fitbit was working just fine and just this past week, it will not hold a charge. Within a few hours it was dead again. Sadly, the warranty period has expired, so I doubt that Fitbit will send me a fourth replacement for free. Bell answered questions about her case by email, and Fitbit sent her a replacement tracker. My device is brand new and won't hold a charge for even one day. My Fitbit is doing the same. I'm very sorry to hear that most of you are having problems with the batteries on your trackers not lasting as they should. Looking forward to your reply. Fitbit Alta won't stay charged

I have disabled all notifications, quick view, and tap features and still the battery drains by 3am after charging it 11 hours beforehand. Felt like it took ages to charge plugged into my computer. They had me do a battery test. I'm trying turning off notifications and plugging it into an outlet instead of my computer to see if that helps. Well actually they offered me 7 days of Fitbit Coach for free and at this point I will say there is not a good option considering that my alta cant keep the charge more than 20hrs. I hope it does since I am going on vacation in about 10 days and don't want to have to charge it every night. I've never used quick view, text messaging notifications, or auto sync and there has been no change in my Fitbit usage in the last week.

I've repeated this several times, each time battery shows as 100%, but with hours its dead again. I have been using the charge 2 for 2 years and 2 months. If you guys need anything else, I'm her to help! Do I have to buy a battery? I don't either and never have. Everything was great this morning with a full charge. Seriously, why would you have a tiny piece of plastic as the only source of security for charging the device? When you charge your tracker, before you unplug it from the charger, do you see the battery icon full? Pretty disappointed in the life of these.

It is losing its charge in one day. It used to hold a charge for days. Frankly, I was expecting this malfunction. Clearly I'm not alone here with this problem. From everything I have read, it is supposed to last up to 5 days with a full charge. No worries, it was a regrettable purchase and I won't repeat the mistake and purchase another Fitbit product.

I've tried the reboot about 6 times and its made no difference. My four years of continuous FitBit records are now broken! Now I'm getting 2-3 days at most. Do I really need a fitbit coach when my fitbit last less than 24hrs of battery? I had a Zip for two years no problems at all. I was very excited about it. Hamilton said the company replaced her device, even though it was a gift. My warranty is up and 30 percent discount is insulting when the product and software are both clearly defective. If this does not work, please contact our one more time so they can give you further assistance with this.

The Alta does charge, but it just won't hold a charge to be able to be used properly for any duration. They were extremely helpful and responsive. I don't have thenew version yet as it hasn't been pushed out to me yet. What is going on w my battery?
