On and off freeway access is super convenient. Plus there's always plenty of staff working too. It's at the East End of Tehachapi Boulevard. Fortunately, I fixed that prior to actually starting the car to drive off. The bathrooms here were spacious and clean and they had plenty of facilities for truckers although not being a trucker myself I can't really give a good review of those in my opinion. Flying J only makes 3 dishes on a regular basis.
Always clean and the staff is friendly. Before she helped my husband with his order, she was over by the registers handling papers and touching a million things. Oh, and the choices for coffee. I always like stopping by Flying J because of the friendly service and competitive fuel prices. The Denny's adjacent is ok and not normally too crowded. The gas prices are relatively low, the bathrooms are clean, and there is a Denny's attached to it for those times when a simple grab and go snack just isn't enough! My family owned a trucking company growing up and we always stopped at the pilot for home style food - clean bathrooms and good fuel prices.

That's a shame, because 20 years ago when I owned and drove a truck cross-country, Flying J was always meticulously clean. Fueling up was a snap. Features a Wendys, Cinnabon, fresh made food, excellent retail, showers, gas, everything! Gas prices are always fair. It isn't normally outright nasty, but it is subpar and in need of a good cleaning.
Only place I can get the big bag of cheddar pretzel combos lol. I had used these exact same pumps in the past - so have to assume they raised the charge at the corporate level. I used to own an over-the-road truck and drove coast-to-coast for about seven years. Clean restrooms, very nice building, the people working are very friendly, cheap gas prices and as always the best coffee on the interstate. Nothing is particularly healthy, but none of it takes 20 minutes to get and none of it costs much. Notice that I don't cite the cleanliness of the bathroom, because it usually isn't in that condition. It is always well stocked.
I went into panic mode and nearly left with the hose still attached to my car. I fuel up here frequently. They have fresh baked Cinnabon rolls! The girl behind the counter offered the gravy from the pot roast for my mashed Potatos even though I got meatloaf. This is a new location so everything is top notch. You can get various varieties of hot dog-shaped stuff on a bun. A good stop on I-65. I haven't had one yet but it is on my to do list.
The customer service is excellent. But I haven't come across a rude employee. Easy access off the 58 east. Got to love it Is truck stop food any good? Here the brand new Flying J charges 10. On one occasion I had just started the process of getting the pump started when I got notified of a family emergency. The Flying J pledge is to make it clean and fast and they're doing it.
You also get 3 cents off your gas. The only benefit of stopping here is an easy pee and unhealthy quick road food. . Also, cinnamon bun restaurant is located inside the store and they always hot and fresh. I was at the car gas pumps, not the Diesel Truck pumps that purchase 100's of gallons.
