As of 2012, Emma Lewin is now a solo artist under her own name. . Later in 2009, after issues with their record label, they stopped as Caracola and left the label, leaving them unable to use their old Caracola name anymore. She is currently in the recording process of her debut album. Recently, their Twitter account caracolaofficial was taken offline. Their Facebook banner also removed the photo of the new line-up and replaced it with a photo of the Caracola logo.
Caracola also started recording a new single, due for a release in 2014, however, activities with the new line-up stopped in April 2014 and updates on their official pages stopped as well. Singer Sara Li left the group in 2010 to focus on her solo career. She has not been replaced yet and nothing has been heard from Sheelah since Emma's departure, leaving fans to believe Sheelah is either on break or disbanded. With this win, she became the youngest cross-country skiing World Cup gold medalist in history. It is unknown if the label has any further plans for Caracola, as no official word from the label about their activities have been announced.

Sadly, in fall 2011, Emma decided to leave Sheelah to pursue a solo career. The award also gave her the opportunity to use Olsson as a mentor.
