To go from that first X100 to the range of cameras and lenses they now offer in such a relatively short time span is breathtaking. I know it is not the same buthow much would I lose there? Just remember that the heavier the weight of your total camera rig becomes, the more energy the gimbal will consume to balance and reduce your overall battery life. That is key in a camera for me. By Steve Huff Video Reviewā¦ ā Well here we are again and this time with a Fuji review! First impressions In coordination with the announcement of the Fuji X-T3 last week, Fujifilm provided us with a body to use for a few days. Really hard call, but I went for broke literally and bought the Leica. Might be nice to build in the Fuji world and have room to grow.
The silicone-rubber gasket actually extends all the way around the perimeter of the compartment, continuing even behind the latch mechanism. I gather from the review that you were using it with prime lenses exclusively, am I right? There is depth, loads of micro contrast and a look other cameras do not give. However, considering the size of the camera the grip is comfortable and adequate. It's wasn't a perfect score, because while the camera didn't show any adverse effects, its touch screen interface was largely unusable when wet. The micro-contrast on this lens is there and you can see this easily. Any thoughts that Fuji might someday go ff? I say congrats to Fuji for making your best digital camera yet, it is truly a worthy camera for enthusiasts, amateurs, hobbyists and even professionals.
Thus far, the X-T3 is shaping up to be an excellent camera. No other camera offers anything like this and I feel Fuji is giving us options here. The Leica will be slower in operation, but that is not a bad thing. This can make it a little dicey swapping lenses if you're out in the weather, even if you can shield the camera while you're making the change. Let me be honestā¦I have not had the best experiences with Fuji cameras in the past, and I am talking years ago, not recently. Even so, without going to the full battery grip and bingo, no more lack of grip issues.
What I like or dislike may be different from what you like but what you have always read on these pages for the last 11 years now yes, just about to hit 11 is a guy who has a passion for photography, gets to shoot what he loves and can use almost any camera available or made today. For the past 10+ years I have been running this website and it has grown to beyond my wildest dreams. Only if I had a stash of Nikon glass. Any thoughts that Fuji might someday go ff? What other lenses did you try on this little monster Steve? You can click them for a much larger view. Low light being the most important for me. There is no longer the issues with the X-Trans sensor that Fuji used to have with Adobe software.
It's more rain than most casual users would likely be willing to endure themselves, and it's more than enough to cause poorly-sealed cameras to fail. Must click it for larger. This allows you to easily mount your camera body on the gimbal while having plenty of spare payload left over for any lens or other accessories that you want while not having an effect on the level of image stabilization that the gimbal is able to provide. The 1st image below had it set to the out of the box setting which is 0. Also, this Fuji X-T3 has the new backlit sensor that improves the low light performance drastically compared to previous Fuji models. While the huge gasket area is reassuring to see, it's only the ridge that runs along the perimeter that does the actual sealing. Click on the images below and notice you can still see detail in the highlights and shadows.
Thanks for this awesome review. With a month's worth of regular use, I thought I would offer a few of my thoughts on the camera for those who might be considering switching as well. We've sometimes found water inside viewfinder optics or condensation on inner elements after our weather-resistance tests, but saw no signs of any such problems with the Fuji X-T3. Now it is October 2018 and I have been checking out this X-T3 and as I said in my last video about this camera, it has excited me, and even inspired me. This camera does it all, and does it well. After speaking behind the scenes with a few reviewers who did use it, and seeing their excitement for it real excitement in private then I knew I had to take a look.
It speaks to massive resources and very smart engineering, and the speed in which they act is surprising. Fujinon lenses are, in a word, fantastic from build quality to optics. They sent me this body to review and I am going to have a hard time sending it back. Let's take a look at what we found on opening the various body compartments. I call it like I see it, and review cameras based on my own personal use. I later set it to -3. The screen has a three-way tiltingdesign, too, to suit working from high and low angles regardless if shooting with a horizontal or vertical orientation.
In the case of the Fujifilm X-T3, we exposed it to the 35-minute protocol, and found that it did very well, with no operational problems at all. When water gets in through one of those routes, it often ends up in the battery compartment. By the way iĀ“ve seen the M10 at Photokina. This offers a realistic pleasing look to the images, that are ever harsh. When I love or really enjoy a camera I will write about it here.
