I am the laziest songwriter in this town. God Bless the Broken Road is one of the best novels I've read this year. Can she find her way through grief and sorrow? Another important character here is Cody Jackson. I absolutely loved this book. He has not been to church since he was a young boy, but it's one of the conditions of his new mentor that he attend church and help out the kids to build their own race carts.

I was drawn immediately into this book by the realistic, engaging characters and the emotional subject. He knew he was in love, and that everything that had happened was really blessed, in a different way of looking at it. She forms a bridge between Amber and God and between Amber and her mother-in-law. Cody Jackson comes to town because he is a race car driver, who is thought to have a death wish with his reclus abandoned ways on the track. My comments are an independent and honest review. As a daughter of a medical examiner, whose office was in her home, she investigated her first fatality, an airplane crash, when she was 8 years old. I had the storyline in my spirit and I was trying to figure it out.

Cody, for his part, is back in town after being involved in a nasty racing crash that resulted in significant injuries. They also move toward a sense of necessary closure regarding their raw emotions in the months and years after Amber's husband is killed in action. The main characters are well fleshed out and I found myself connecting to Amber and Bree immediately. Her mother never likes to talk about her dead dad. She's stuck in a world of hurt and anger. What I had hoped for was the same heart tugging emotions in the book that I get from the song, and I got that and more.

I read this at a time when I really needed it. Amber is trying to maintain a life for her and her daughter, Bree. He is sent to see someone who can teach him the right way to race and win. Moving moments help us feel her pain. That is not something that should have been left out in this novel since a major factor was Amber's financial situation.

All Amanda has left from Darren is the house and her ring, and she pawns the ring and loses the house. Then on the scene comes Cody, an almost washed up race car driver. Will she be able to heal and still continue to raise her daughter and find happiness in it all or will she be so far sucked into her grief she can't find a way out? But when the unthinkable happens, she has nowhere left to turn and she finally cries out to God for help. Astute readers will predict the ending early on; however, twists and turns in the plot keep the pages turning as Amber struggles to find her way out of her anguish-filled purgatory while her friends pray for the day she will rediscover her faith and once again reach out to God. The book was very well I read the book in 4 days and then watched the movie immediately on Netflix.

This album was not released, due to a dispute between the band and its label. A grandmother continues to show up to be in her granddaughter's life, even when not welcome. A sweet message of hope and courage is woven into the story and adds dimension and depth to it. Exactly what Amber is sure she doesn't need. I hope we get more books from Jennifer Dornbush, she has a great talent. The book was very well written.
