In the middle of the game, Elvinds wife goes into labor, and he is called to the hospital. Meanwhile Adrians father is working to get Adrian to sign a contract with his own club.

Helena has no other choice than letting Adrian take his place. Would love to see a second season! Objectively it's probably an 8,5 or something, but who ever heard about an objective supporter? Also it is glaringly obvious that Jon Carew is a former player and not an actor :- , however most of the rest of the cast is really good and the location scenery is just beautiful. Meanwhile Camilla, Adrian and Nils are having dinner together. The team wins the first quarantine game with Michael as coach, and he doesn't hesitate to take the honour of the strategy and the victory. At the same time, Michael is thrown out of his home and Adrian is reunited with his father after a traumatic farewell in Amsterdam. But the manager wants the female coach, Helena Mikkelsen, whos team is playing in the womens champions league. There are two hours until the transfer window closes.

Personally I found the subplots involving her daughter a bit off, as if they couldn't really figure out what she wanted - which is probably realistic enough, but makes for bad storytelling. Helena must win the match against Rosenborg or look for another job. However, she believes that she is more than capable, but to secure the job she must outperform a former professional with coaching ambitions. The whole thing could easily have gone pear-shaped, but 'Heimebane' succeeds because it's a drama more about the human condition than 'The Beautiful Game'. How many episodes the next season of Heimebane contains? During a confrontation with Ålesund's trainer, Helena gets the red card and must leave the field. Will Adrian be mentally ready? Two months to go before the end of the season and Varg is sat in relegation place.

Camilla begins her new job, but has difficulty interpreting the approaches of a colleague. Helena learns more about Adrians background and why he left Ajax. Three home defeats out of three. It turns out that Camilla has quit her job as dish washer at the restaurant, because she has got doubts on wether she really can cook. They decide to make a joint walkout in the 82nd minute of the next game thus commemorating a glorious game in '82.

A few hours before the transfer window closes, Helena and Espen are ready to sign on Mario as a new player to replace Michael, whos knee is still not in order. Helena's daughter, Camilla, gets a job at the restaurant, and Michael goes to see a female fan. She manages to turn on her phone recording. Heimebane made me laugh, cry and stand up and cheer. At a board meeting it becomes clear that Espen has been asked to prepare a Plan B: names of football coaches who can step in at short notice should Helena fail. Finally, Rolf Kristian Larsen gives a solid performance as Eivind, Mikkelsen's embattled boss standing up for her in the chauvinistic boardroom. While she starts out a bit flat and mysterious, she let's both us, the viewers, and her team mates in on who she really is and what makes her tick.
