I would definitely order this again. The shrimp tasted fresh and there was ample carne Asada, rice, guacamole, etc. Hands up to John owner for making sure it had everything but the kitchen sink in it!!! We will be back a few times before we leave town! People are friendly, smiling and sociable. It definitely can easily feed 2-3 people. Consistently great prices and great food, want to see a clean, well maintained restaurant? They couldn't possibly disagree or contend that this is false, it was a cold burrito and that's a straight up shame. These one pound burritos in San Diego definitely ruined my diet for weeks lol but no regret cause the Mexican food in the city was amazing! They also have a nice salsa bar, the ambience is very relaxed and made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen. Initially I was a bit overwhelmed by all the options.
The owners are drinking in their bar and during recon, Bar Rescue pretends they are not making over the bar to see the reaction of John and Bert. Friendly staff and a well stocked salsa bar with the typical accoutrements. I'd definitely come back to dine here again. I haven't seen many mexican food places that offer this food item. This is one of the best homestyle mexican food eateries this side of Mexico!! We liked the old menu, but they hardly had anything prepped before either. I had no idea how big the surf and burrito was, almost two whole burritos in all. They lots of great music karaoke several nights a week and live music.
At Ventacity Systems we believe that ventilation deserves more attention than it has received. We've gone to 2 Mexican restaurants in San Diego before, but we wanted to make it part of our trip. The carrots and jalapenos were very tasty and very fresh. Really good Mexican food if your in the area but come on a really empty stomach. Don't forget to try one of our signature tacos such as the Cancun Taco or the Chicken Chipotle! I haven't seen many mexican food places that offer this food item.

Despite many reviews saying there is new ownership, it seems that Bert and John still own the bar. The burrito was stuffed generously, so I only finished about half of it and had the other half for dinner later that day.
Flavor was good but didn't enjoy the meat for the pozole. My fiance and I wanted to make sure we got Mexican food at least once when we were in San Diego. The place has changed immensely. I only ate one slice. The pricing is incredibly cheap, so we opted into this place. They have unique dishes like the chile relleno burrito and the sonora quesadilla. They also had cinnamon chips which weren't too sugary so made up for a good snack as well.

Jesse has the best Fajitas that we have ever had and that's a mouthful believe me. We ran up there and was so overwhelmed by all the yummy options on the menu. Huge selection and you can't go wrong with a burrito or chimichanga. Perhaps the best burrito spot in the area.

Under New Ownership A lot of things have changed since the late March 2019 Bar Rescue episode was filmed, including a change of ownership and a second new name. If you can't find anyone at least bring your tastebuds!!! Hope you enjoy this local gem as much as I do! My Friend Austin Gage sent us to eat the Best Mexican food that he has had ever in San Diego and now we totally agree with his choice. So she gave us a menu with four choices including, cheeseburger, hot dog, grilled cheese, and chicken wings. The place has changed immensely. Needless to say, I didnt finish it.
The carne asada burrito was very tasty, and had a good portion of beef as well. The cool thing about this restaurant is that they have a small side bar where you can get as much salsa and other condiments as you want. I wasn't a fan of the pozole soup or Sopas though. They have the best tasting guacamole in the entire world in my opinion : the people are so kind and the environment is great. I can assure you I have never had such delicious salsa, and boy, don't forget to add onions and chillies to it! My friends were so happy because their salsas were amazing, everything in the burrito was well cooked and spiced, and believe me it filled us for the entire day! Atmosphere was awesome, super clean, great customer service and amazing food! In a push to attain the highest efficiency standards, choosing a Taco Oe package is a big step ahead.

Jon Taffer sees they are genuinely upset and decides to go through with the makeover. They offer a variety of salsas, but my favorite was the pico de Gallo - it's full of so many chunks of fresh tasting tomatoes. This resulted in a burrito that was less than lukewarm and unpleasant, the meat needs to be thrown on the flat top and griddled for a little bit so that it melts the cheese.
