Filmmaker: How would you describe your relationship with your producing partner Maria Ekerhovd? All of the crew was amazing, so I always felt comfortable. Syversen shoots the disco competitions like a suffocating, objectifying experience of pounding electronic music and artificial lights and clothes. As a world champion in disco freestyle dancing and leader of the youth group in the congregation, she is the pride of the church. Frustrated by the feeling of not being seen and in search of answers, she is drawn to a stricter, more conservative congregation. Shane is an avid world traveler and loves attending film festivals.

I was really fascinated by these charismatic Pentecostal churches. Welcome to a platform where professionals can meet and exchange information and ideas. It does what a good drama or horror film should do, it allows the audience to consider its own value systems in its empathy of the main character, and the situation she finds herself in.
