Finally got a chance to try La Perla for dinner. Finally, I found this place. This community has much history and perhaps is the most unique on the island. You know some of those taquerias who make them a little bit too sweet? The food is great and some of the best Mexican food I have food in the Bay Area. The accompanying rice and creamy refried beans were on point. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive despite us being the only ones in the outdoor patio.

Both dishes were also perfection and the flavors were far above and beyond what you would find in a small coastal town. Very good service and with perfect weather this was ideal. And the drinks are awesome! Definitely plan to visit for dinner the next time you are in Beaufort. Great musical talent has come out of residents in La Perla.
