Courses for Exchange Students In our course listings you will not find all courses open to exchange students. For doctoral students there is additional information, including the doctoral subject, activity and registration for each semester the type of funding. If you have not studied at a higher education before, the email address you provided in your application at universityadmissions. For doctoral students there is also information about the subject and research area studied, term registration and details of activities, as well as details of funding. Ladok contains one part for first- and second-cycle studies and one for third-cycle studies.

Admissions

Register for courses Each semester, you have to register for every course you are studying at the University of Gothenburg. If you cannot find the course you want to register for, please contact the department giving the course in order to know when and how the registration should be done. Please note that not all courses are open for registration through Ladok. Degree application You can apply for a degree and follow your degree application in Ladok. Transcript of records If you are or have been a student at the University of Gothenburg, you can print an official transcript of records from Ladok. Ladok Ladok is the database used by the University of Gothenburg to record details of students and study results. If you don't know which faculty you will belong to, please contact the international coordinator at your home university.

Admissions

Credit transfers should also be registered in Ladok. When the degree has been awarded, this information will also be entered into Ladok. To be admitted to the University as a regular student, you apply for a full programme or a single subject course. However you can also contact student offices and other administrative departments at the University of Gothenburg. Courses for Exchange Students

Exchange students are not required to pay tuition. If you have studied at another higher education before, the same email address you had then will remain. Alternatively you can contact the service centre and other units of the University of Gothenburg. After graduating the exam is also documented. Ladok Services

What is registered in Ladok? Ladok contains one section for the basic-and advanced first and second-cycle levels, and another for the doctoral third-cycle level. After completed PhD studies the approved courses and passed PhD thesis are entered into Ladok. Even if you are a student at several higher educations at the same time, you only have one email address in Ladok. Most of our programmes only start in autumn and there is a specific international admission round 16 October-15 January. Your name, social security number, address, admission, course registration and study results are examples of information available in Ladok. The information registered in Ladok is the basis for the Diploma supplement, which is attached to the degree certificate. In your application you specify which courses you want to take.

At Sahlgrenska Academy For the students at Sahlgrenska Academy, all course results are entered into Ladok by the institute that organized and examined the course. Only students from our can come here as an exchange student and you need to be nominated by your home university, before you can apply here. Ladok is used to record identity information, notes on eligibility, admissions , academic performance and graduation for all students. Course results are reported into Ladok by the department that arranged the course and the course examination. You apply online via the joint Swedish application portal,. The application is made online and the deadline is May 15th for the autumn semester and the whole academic year and November 15th for the spring semester.
