The leather is stiffer than, for instance, fabric, so it felt more like my foot was encased in the shoe, rather than being allowed to flex and bend in my natural stride. I hinted at it above, but going up to a larger size made a huge difference in the comfort of the shoe. I thought it might have some hints of green in it.
