I observed someone one putting bread away by slammimg the baskets on top of each other. The show cast -some great singers but they looked painfully unrehearsed. Light and bright by day, intimate and sophisticated by night, the contemporary design may not measure up to the sizzle expected by those North American passengers who don't appreciate more understated European tastes. Crew members were always busy clearing tables. At some points specially tea-time lines were so long, the buffet closed before your turn, and the crew simply removed the platters in front of your face.
The only issue we had with our cabin was a nauseating smell that we sometimes encountered. On other nights, simpler snacks of sandwiches and sweets are served, usually by strolling waiters in the lounges and other public areas of the ship. On an overnight stay in Casablanca the staff had a party in the nightclub so it was closed down. I had hopes it would get better but it got worse day by day. The ship is on a Caribbean itinerary that includes a stop in Havana. The desserts at the buffet lacked distinct flavor for the most part in my opinion. All in all the cruise was fun and definitely what you make it!! Comfortable public rooms, well-appointed Library, Bars, and my favorite space--the Cigar Room. The ship has 9 passenger decks, 2 pools and 10 bars and lounges. The telephone did not have the capacity for voice mail, but you could program it for a wake up call. We had the luxury of both on the Armonia.
If you are going then I would advise you to say the same. I guess since the boat will be doing a different cruise soon people have just given up here. Midnight snacks are something to look forward to with more delicious food and a variety of themes from around the world. Eating times were very short and food quality was very low. Nice touches absent such as towel animals, facial tissue or chocolates on the pillow. Only a few complaints during the whole week. The Reception and Shore Excursion desks are adequately staffed, and there is rarely a line to ask a question or book a tour. Cruze was a good attendant always quick and efficient. Foam egg crates are not available, but an extra blanket folded up and placed under the mattress pad did the trick if you prefer a softer feel. The dance lessons by the pool were entertaining.
