I now know why so many people opt to pay the price for Nike's. In the 2017 Nike Air Max, the most visible change is the removal of the Flywire cables. It is very breathable and has the right combination of flexibility and firmness. The nubs of the Waffle design provide the much-needed traction from an outsole of this type. The biggest attraction in the midsole and basically the entire shoe is the full-length Air Max cushioning.
Not only did my feet hurt after 8 hours of standing, but I also had lower back pain. I sent it back after wearing 1 time and lucky got my money back and ordered a older model. I never dreamed I would spend so much on a tennis shoe and be so very happy. I thought they were a little more rose colored from the photo, but very pleasantly surprised they were more of a lavender? It uses the plastic-like construction with countless small nubs placed all over the underfoot. This was the first pair I have bought that I hated.
. I'm going to have to switch shoe brands. . It runs true to size. These are generous and accommodating. The molded foam in the heel and the midfoot give a sense of a wraparound feel that is really nice to the skin.
I only wear them for about a year and rotate them around with several different pairs. In the meanwhile, back to my 2016 pair, This is only my 2nd pair of Nikes. This is the 4th year that I have purchased this shoe for my work as a nurse. They are very good looking, but as far as coushion, and shock absorbency they suck! This shoe offers a new molded foam in the said areas. Nike uses reflective elements in the upper for low-visibility running. . I used to have a pair of Nike AirMax back in college.
The loop-to-the-laces technology is replaced with a more traditional structure. I know some people are going to say, you have to break them in. The 2017 Nike Air Max is no different as it thrives on its ability to match superior comfort, adequate arch support, and insane looks. I loved them and wore them until there was nothing left of them. In lieu of the cords, the foam provides adequate hold, support, and a more comfortable feel. I saw this pair on Amazon and had to have them. The outsole of this is basically that of the earlier version.
As the Air Max unit is quite thick, the flexibility of the midsole foam gives it a little more balance and spring. I'm very happy with them and will surely purchase another pair soon. I have a wide foot and many shoes are too narrow. This 2017 model did not work for me. I bought these because I have a terrible arthritis and every shoe hurts my feet. However the color best described, I put them on today and they fit perfectly. There are also a couple of flex grooves in the forefoot for flexibility.
On top of the Air Max cushioning is the standard Cushlon foam for more responsiveness and durability. I just cant do this model. I spent a great deal of time looking thru Amazon's huge selection. Nike is steadfast in its aim of blending performance and lifestyle with every release of the Air Max series. It is easily an all day, everywhere shoe because of the generous fit that still provides sufficient support and locked down feel. The new Flymesh upper is needed to provide more structure as the 2017 Nike Air Max does away with the reliable Flywire cables. I've been wanting another pair for a while now.
Previously, I got great support for my feet and no back issues. I know these are running shoes, but for anyone with any kind of foot problem you would be doing yourself a favor to buy these. Besides the molded foam in the heel and midfoot for a foot-hugging support, there is also a partial inner sleeve that wraps the foot like a glove. This is my fourth pair and I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to be walking on air. With this pair found that the shoe upper is tighter. . Luckily it was only an 8 hour shift because my feet, legs, and back were killing me.
