I removed the watch from my bluetooth settings and voila, suddenly watch and phone found each other again after that. Sleep tracking is one that we need to look more closely at. . Neither have a barometric altimeter. I pre-ordered it and when after all that waiting it was finally delivered gave it a whirl. I realizd after the program in the web was good, but in the phone the distance change in one interval to 0. The Vantage M optical sensor lags a little bit, and in some parts of the ride differs considerably — especially for short burst efforts.

Pitting it against a heart rate monitor chest strap, I used it on all my runs indoor and outdoor to see how it performed for steady paced running. So far I have been very happy with Vantage + Flow vs. Lots and lots of time — all in the pursuit of this review and justification for eating more cookies too of course. In sum, I really like the Vantage as a triathlon watch and it now has all the essential features. I kind of agree with your comment regarding the display being dark however it does light up when you raise your wrist to view and find personally that to be acceptable. Instead of giving training load based on single method, Polar offers users the possibility to choose the training load method based on their preferences.
