So, the new year started good for you. This book is just awful. My initial reaction upon finishing this book was to roll my eyes. But by the end I was so happy with the way things played out. Before Margot leaves to go back to college in , she tells Lara Jean to get a job. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old.
When it comes to his character, Peter, Noah isn't afraid of a little competition. Then Lara Jean realized that her sister's boyfriend opened his letter written before her sister felt started dating him. There's one scene that she's hoping makes to movie. The two are already on set and with the three Song-Covey sisters together, everything seems right in the world. My heart was really sad for him because it was wonderful and swoony and made me smile. If it were me, I'd go for Betty's counterpart without a second thought.
And while she is fully committed to Peter, Lara Jean cannot deny the wistful feelings she has towards the life she would have with John Ambrose McLaren. Because he's the boy and he can do anything to protect his girl. Are there pics from behind-the-scenes? His moments with Lara Jean are too sweet and too adorable. I know book one was basically built upon this trope hence, why I feared I had grown out of my capacity to enjoy book two but it felt so unnecessary. Fans of Jenny Han's series, which the movies are based on, will recognize Stormy as a character from P. All of that screaming was just about how bad it was last time. If you fall in the category of not-so-big-of-a-fan then I'd suggest picking other contemporaries.
But of there should be a sequel, I believe it should be about Kitty. With a bad way, but she did. Spoilers for the last book: Lil Lara Jean, our insanely-named protagonist, got herself into a little kerfuffle involving a series of letters addressed-n-stamped to old crushes, a fake relationship plot, a love triangle with her sister, and a certain lacrosse-playing douchenozzle the likes of which haunts public high school halls from here to Timbuktu. In fact, their meet-cute led to a friendship she never saw coming. It took me a long time to pick up the first book, but I was so glad I did! The way that Laura subtly changes her voice between characters was very helpful in painting the picture if the story. I completely relate to their thoughts most of the time.
Lara Jean and Peter kiss, and a viral video of them making out in a hot tub goes viral at school. I don't know what to feel! Every little girl thinks about a kiss in the snow with someone that they might like. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. You can break my heart. I also feel like these buttons that I made are relevant: I absolutely love the formatting of your reviews.
Of course, I want to dive right into the third and final book, but I'm going to wait a bit, because then I'll have nothing to look forward to in regard to this series! That being said, all these twisted plots did not make me love the book any less. I was sometimes frustrated with him as well, but that just shows how well Jenny Han can write. To sum it all up, this review is short for my standards. Gerry looks at it and grabs it, but when they cut to a wider shot on the bedroom, the lampshade is perfectly straight again. The end of To All the Boys I've Loved Before left Josh and Lara Jean in a good place after he helped her realize that she was really in love with Peter with the help of Kitty. So when she gets another opportunity to show her paintings, Abby isn't going to take any chances. Lara Jean didn't expect to really fall for Peter.
With how left things, I needed some answers, especially since there would be a sequel. Yes, it's a romance but that not all it is. When they decide to start dating, Lara Jean is excited and nervous, at the same time. I really wanted to love this whole series, but. And I don't think it was handled well.
Jenny Han created such a great cast of characters, characters I root for and against, depending on the person. Han explores some of the common Korean culture. And his name is John Ambrose McClaren and he writes her letters and smiles at her and dresses up for her. I spend my time usually reading about knives and monsters, ok, and that makes sense. Which is where the list comes in. But I finally read this!! I read book one when I was 18 and finally decided to continue 3 years later.
He was mentioned in the first and he recognized Lara Jean. She and Peter were just pretending. You guys are definitely in for one wild ride. I Still Love You is the sequel to Jenny Han's wonderful. And till the next one. Even though it has been like two years since I've read it, I can still remember how wonderful it is to read a book that is cute, sweet and super relatable.
