I brought it for a weekend trip to the cabin with 10 friends. It has a salty-sour flavor and is something we use to elevate flavors in savory dishes or dishes with lengthy cooking times. I will definately make this again. My party is in just a few days, and clearly, this is going to require some advance planning! I put my roast in the oven at 9:30 pm expecting a long cook time I wanted my roast to be done early afternoon the next day! Thanks for a great recipe.
Now that I have found it and printed it I can rest assured my pulled pork will be a smash hit as always. After approx another hour i determined it was ready to be pulled apart. Any suggestions or corrections that would help? Your little scrapbook recipe pages are totally adorable! So I simply added 1 tablespoon of paprika, 2 cloves of garlic and 1 tsp black pepper. I made this last year around the same time actually. I was not sure how this would turn out since usually when you think of pulled pork, you think of having to have a smoker. If this turns out as good as I think it will, I may make one to take to our family Thanksgiving dinner because everyone wants a change from the traditional turkey and ham well it is pork but a different kind, of course.

I will be using pork butt. But I have a question. I cooked my 2,5 lb. When it was done and rested, I pulled it apart but there was a fair amount of gooey fat throughout, so I scraped that out. Definitely a permanent addition to the repertoire! Remove the cooking liquid and skim most of the fat from its surface.

I have searched for pulled pork recipes many times. I made this for the first time about 3 weeks ago. If the bottom of the pan is dry or crusted with dried spices cover the pan with foil to retain internal moisture of the meat during the resting period. Pulled it all and put in a ziplock. In the rub, use Smoky Paprika. We also season 15 to 20 minutes before adding it to the slow cooker. This was a perfect blend of spices and an amazing cooking method.
