Overall hotel ok however feel much better adults only hotels in Mexico we have stayed in. The buffet, the Italian restaurant, Beach Club Grill, and Score Sports Bar and Lounge are open for lunch as well as dinner for all guests. Everyone was so friendly and special thanks goes to Abel the barman who looked after us so much and was sad to say goodbye to him! No one came outside to sit in the whole time we were there which showed they were seating people inside. Not sure how fast others can eat soup. We booked a golf cart and went to the Turtle Sanctuary, Ice Bar and the beach for a few hours. Gorgeous rooms all have whirlpool tubs, and there are swim-out options available, as well as an adult-only Hideaway section. The property caters to guests over 18 years of age only.

The seaweed doesn't smell bad at all, it just smells like. There was a lot wildlife around the hotel due to its location in the mangroves; however, this did not bother us. Families will love the enormous on-site splash park, supervised kids and teen clubs and non-motorized water sports, perfect for days spent making unforgettable memories together. Note that dress codes apply in the evenings at most restaurants. Carlos Lopez who is one of the waiters based at the infinity pool is excellent.

A full bathroom with separated toilet and washbowls is set apart from the spacious seating area with comfortable double sofa bed, full bathroom and kitchenette. . Those seeking a better beach should consider staying in the instead. Dear hpanova First, allow me to thank you for your preference in Royalton Riviera Cancun. Isla Mujeres we did ourselves and shared a taxi with another couple to cut down the costs. The main thing that let the hotel down was the large amount of seaweed. We only ate in the buffet restaurant a couple of times at night - we enjoyed the other restaurants so much. Each guest of this exclusive suite enjoys an elegantly designed room with private balcony and full bathroom fit with 2 washbowls and an indoor Jacuzzi. Discover the freshest local ingredients and enjoy a wide selection of local and international flavors served at the stations of this buffet restaurant, also offering fresh fruit juices, a special kids buffet area and healthy options.

Menu includes nachos, grilled chicken and refreshing sorbets. Treat yourself to a mid-afternoon coffee and exquisite dessert at the cafe. You'll also want to check out Ventura Park Cancun and Petempich Bay, located nearby. The Royalton's eleven pools are the main focus -- and highlight -- of the resort. There are no plastic straws here so if you like a straw with your frozen cocktail, I recommend taking a metal one with you.

We liked both the pool and the beach and we went swimming in the sea a few times too. They just didn't stop and always had smiles on their faces. We knew that seaweed has been a problem for the resorts this year and that the hotel can do nothing about it. Our room was cleaned by Reyna, who was friendly and went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for us. The bathrooms may not provide enough privacy for some; a curtain separates the bathtub from the bedroom in many units, and the shower has a frosted glass wall. Opened in 2015, the Royalton feels exactly like the mega-resort it is. .

Though this is an all-inclusive resort, tipping is appreciated; it's a good idea to bring small bills. This can result in guests having to get up early realllly early to snag the best lounge chairs, and sometimes, long lines at the reservation-free restaurants. There are no motorized water sports here, however, because of the protected coral reef offshore. A full bathroom offers separate toilet, 2 washbowls and an indoor Jacuzzi tub. The newest resort Royalton Riviera Cancun is located just a 15 minute drive from the Cancun International Airport. This is among the better upscale resort options in the area that allow children, though the and are also excellent options worth considering -- and both have significantly fewer rooms. We would highly recommend it to others and will certainly be visiting other Royalton resorts in the future.

This room is complete with an in-suite Jacuzzi soaker tub, rain shower, sitting area with a pull-out couch and luxury vistas that overlook the mangrove, ocean, or bring the luxury of a semi-private swim out pool. Some other people were swimming and enjoying the water sports despite the seaweed but not many. We ate at most of the restaurants but our favourites were the Hunters, Taj and Ocean Point. Rates include meals and beverages at onsite dining establishments. Rooms have private furnished balconies.
