The beef and pork came on soft shells and the bean veggie one came on a hard shell. The seeds have been passed down generations and vary from region to region. When traveling, I don't normally like getting things I can get in abundance back home, but learning she's a Chicagoan and a Noma alum, i had to check this place out. The first time, the menu had more options and the dishes were more flavorful. I'm guessing your not thinking about that fancy parma anymore. I am now regretting not checking other people's reviews before eating, or I would have definitely ordered the dessert too, as they look interesting, and possibly delicious. Your Trip has too many items in it. One of the best Al Pastor tacos I've had.
Their original location at Torvehallerne's food market is only open during the spring and summer and the meat packing district is their second outlet. It seems al pastor is always there though. This was the messiest taco to eat since after the yolk burst, there wasn't any other ingredient to semi-hold in the liquid and it dribbled down. They have drinks on tap. Turns out, Hija de Sánchez was the perfect stop on my way to my next destinations from the Nørreport train station. This location is in the meatpacking district, which we completely ran into by accident, just wandering around the streets. . The bean tostada was very good but not extra special. Right across the way was Warpigs brewpub my next review , which was super cool and fun, with the best name of a beer on tap I think I have ever seen. I had the quesadilla, michelada, chips and guacamole, tacos with beefand the spicy salsa. I loved the pineapple and the pico. The tortillas are a bit fragile but they were good.
I would absolutely return and run the menu with a half dozen Modelos. Black bean black beans, lettuce, onions, avocado, jalapeño, salsa, chili, and oil This was really terrific. The space here is very small and cramped with seating for about 10 or less. Wanted to see the hype about this place. The vegetarian option was interesting, in fact it was the star and I enjoyed it, but there's nothing traditional about it. Hija de Sanchez was born of my personal cravings for mexican food and sweets.
While I can't really defend that statement since I am not aware of how Mexican tacos taste, I can say that these are the best tacos I've had. I know she gets some ingredients from Mexico and some locally from Copenhagen. While I truly believe these are the best tacos in Copenhagen I am a bit surprised Hija de Sanchez was voted as one of the world's top 50 restaurants. I think chefs, most chefs, want to push themselves to work with the best of the best and reach the pinnacle of great cuisine. I know what's legit, and I know what I like. They also had tecate cans for a good price to go along with the tacos. Being from Texas we are experts on Tacos.
Plus I've had much more flavorful homemade tortillas and this one was a bit dry. My girlfriend and I actually passed by this spot and I went into the Indian restaurant next door to ask where it was. I would definitely recommend coming here! The al pastor was really, really good. You got to try this place. The margaritas were delicious though! You'll want it when you smell it. Going there on a empty or even half empty stomach- you will not get full.
