Our first photo stop is Gimsøy Church, situated in the village Gimsøy. The Tall Ships Races 2019

After leaving Ornes early this morning, our ship will sail through narrow straits bordered by farm fields. Aside from the sailing trophies there are a number of different rewards each year, for example for the most international crew, the best port entrance or most entertaining in Crew Parade. Following the first race leg trainees will be welcomed by sun in picturesque Lisbon, Portugal from where Portuguese navigators set sail more than 500 years ago.
