Thanks for a lovely evening. Head chef Brian Scanlan will oversee the relaxed menu, which will serve everything from breakfast, brunch, light snacks, afternoon tea and dinner. Still the same wonderful decor, but too few staff for the number of covers. Set across two floors, the brasserie will accommodate approximately 222 guests. The iconic restaurant, famed for having a rotating door of celebrity guests in London, will formally open on Monday, July 29 - and reservations are available to book from today.
The walls are adorned with locally referenced artwork, including graphics of Shipbuilding on the Clyde. We wanted a dessert and coffee, plus more wine but there simply wasn't anyone around to order from, and we were concerned that our order would suffer from all the diners waiting for their main course. But what will The Ivy be serving up, and how much will it cost? The bar is not licensed for drinks without food. To make a reservation, call 0141 378 1200 or visit TheIvyGlasgow. For those with a sweet tooth, there's a few decadent dishes on the dessert menu - whisky creme brulee, cappuccino cake, apple tart fine and the much-loved chocolate bombe. We really enjoyed our time here. Had family meal following night in nearby steakhouse which was superb.
The most expensive dish is the rib-eye on the bone, 21 day aged, grass-fed steak, at £31. The Ivy was a great dining experience, the food was beautiful and the service impeccable. The Ivy Glasgow is expected to open in the spring after an extensive renovation of the building. Claim your listing for free to respond to reviews, update your profile and much more. The staff are doing their best but against the odds, and having reasonably good food isn't enough to make me return; also the menu doesn't change often enough, it has become too samey.
The restaurant is situated across two floors with a large bar prominent on both floors, and beautiful private dining room on the first floor. It would also benefit from improving the ambience of such a large area, it didn't feel personal or friendly, especially as we were celebrating a birthday. We will keep your data secure, and of course would never sell or share data. Other dishes include lobster linguine and chargrilled halloumi with padrón peppers. The plans show that the group are hoping to invest around £2,000,000 to transform the site into a ground floor bar and first floor restaurant — with a total of 180 cover inside and a further 24 covers outdoors on Royal Bank Place.
The plans for the new brasserie in Glasgow city centre are expected to create 150 new jobs. Sitting alongside the delectable food menus will be a series of locally-inspired cocktails. We visited the bar upstairs which I have to say was brilliant, the staff were chatty and their abilities to mix some fantastic cocktails was great. Our waitress was excellent although it was busy and she was very run off her feet.
The Buchanan Street restaurant, which is best known for its A-list clientele, will offer All Day, Brunch, Breakfast, Desserts, Drinks and Vegetarian and Vegan menus. Firstly, it must be said the A La Carte all day menu is a pretty packed affair, with over 10 different starters, several mains including dozens of seafood options and steak, sandwiches, plenty of sides and even an afternoon tea menu. The fillet steak was extremely good. One of the most highly-anticipated restaurant openings of the year, the reservations book is already filling up for the venue. As Glaswegians, we're always keen to find out how much it costs for a wee beverage.
The whole place is spotless ly clean. We had the set lunch which had a reasonable choice and was not too expensive. Overseen by General Manager Kevin Lightbody, the team look forward to welcoming our regular guests and new neighbours, as well as becoming part of the local community. It was good for conversation and the service was excellent. Blocking a user will not disable their ability to view your public content or your public profile page. All in all not a good impression from the staff but the food was good. The room provides the perfect setting for both celebrations and corporate entertaining in the heart of Glasgow.
The original Ivy restaurant became hit in London after becoming a hangout spot for A-list celebrities. Plans have now been lodged with the city council to convert the Buchanan Street building currently occupied by the Nationwide Building Society into a branch of the famous brasserie creating 150 new jobs. Not good as service charge added automatically. We have a fantastic team in place and a beautiful building at 106 Buchanan Street. We will contact you about special events, new openings as well as the latest seasonal menus.
