What it lacks is the human touch, warmth and a seamless customer service experience. The decor and paintings were of an art venture. The views are spectacular, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the bars kept up with the high demand of our guests. Imagine taking a dozen 20-something girls who all think they are influencers because they have 100 Instagram followers and ask them to design what they think a luxury hotel is without having ever stayed at one. The view is obviously amazing and I loved how they did the layout of the room. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel.
Also, if you make it to the Boom Boom Room you can piss with a gorgeous view of the city that already smells like piss and regret. I felt that they were very accommodating, the room service menu is really good, and the views are incredible! Awesome options for great food on our doorstop. Every room includes an open bathroom. The facilities fee includes the following: -Two bottles of water per day -Free WiFi -Local calls -Access to the neighboring Crunch fitness center -Bike use -Discounts at the onsite shop. Obviously you want the view of the water, but the other side is still amazing too.
There are also a lot of really good restaurant options close by. Everyone had energy here, even at 3am! Free WiFi access is offered. . The venue was designed in the urban style and built in 2008. To top it all off: the maid started banging on the door at 8:50 in the morning. .
My only complaint was when we were in line to check out, they started helping the people behind us first. So the view of the water is just so incredible! The bed is really comfortable and I like that it is low to the ground. Literally, you will want for nothing. There are open bathrooms with a shower, a hairdryer and terry dressing gowns along with a small fridge and a dishwasher for self-catering. There is a lot of things around the Meatpacking District if you are looking to go out and about during the day and night. .
Pure artistry and creativity The rooftop club. They certainly try hard and the service is excellent, but I would have preferred more room to breath. . The shower is open, no doors. Designer toiletries and bathrobes are also included. .
I liked the floor to ceiling windows. . All god damned night you hear water running because they didn't hire people who had designed hotels before and knew you need to insulate the wet wall. Two stars for location - everything else is below standard. .
It was not deep enough so the water kept getting everywhere. . You can dine in The Standard Grill restaurant with American meals. The valet attendant and the front desk staff were neighborly and helpful, particularly Giovanni who helped me find a nice cafe to work from. Café Standard serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers seasonal outdoor seating. This is now my hotel of choice for my work trips and I've already recommended it to my team.
For a 2-night stay it was okay, certainly very clean and the room was nice, but its tiny size would make me reconsider going again. . Guests will find W 14 St - 10 Av bus stop next to The Standard High Line Hotel New York. I left my credit card here three weeks ago in the Boom Boom Room also known as The Top Of The Standard. I had such an amazing time this week at the standard. .
The tv connection must not have been good because the sound kept going in and out. Rooms with great views are not guaranteed, but this is the one thing the hotel has so if you don't end up getting a great room. . The staff, Anna and Max, there were so welcoming and thoughtful and gave us an upgrade to a Hudson Studio for a song. Spice Market and The Standard Grill are 50 meters away. .
