The main town center is just the other side of the station. And I did try, but not being the most technical of people, I had to call reception again, and a member of staff was sent up to help me. Clean comfortable modern rooms, many with a view over the river, which insistently makes for a lovely walk. A number of good restaurants on the 5 min walk to the main station. Location is perfect, just a couple of hundred metres from the train and bus stations, and a short walk to the town centre with shops and plenty of places to eat. Thon Hotel Arena looks forward to welcoming you on your visit to Lillestrom. There was also a very big flat screen tv, which did not work. Nice and centrally located hotel just five minutes walk from the Lillestrøm station which is 10 minutes from Oslo Central Station and 10 minutes from the Gardermoen airport. Recommend heading east to the outdoor Lido, a good 45 min round trip. Bathrooms have hair dryers and free toiletries.

Thon Hotel Arena is located close to the train station. Great hotel, good service, fabulous breakfast and close to the station so a great base you want or need to travel further afield. I have stayed here on numerous occasions with business and recently with my family. Then look no further than Arasen Stadium 1. I can only imagine that there was some idiot there with more power than sense involved in this decision. The breakfast and lunch is very nice, with lots of different meals and chefs making omelettes etc. We stayed in a business suite. Business-friendly amenities include desks and phones. Despite this hiccup which was responded to in minutes of calling reception.
