No one; Layla; You and mama; I don't know how much people love me! I am also determined to make the best of my few years of China I earned. So now I am determined to not only go to China but love it no matter how many people take unwanted photos of our curly haired troop of children and no matter how often we have to go through checkpoints in Western China. It is an unusually large pit and emptying it felt endless. While we were a little creeped out providing detailed information on all our ancestors and their occupations and detailed bookings for every step of our planned trip we closed our eyes tight and gave them whatever they asked for. Gifting rocks to all her friends and classmates at school. I like community events where everyone pitches in to get an arduous task done in a short period of time.

In fact we gave them more than they asked for as I was unaware that the tax forms that were in the printed pile of documents were not for the Chinese and handed those over as well. . Sophia was beaming and is pretty pleased that she got to stand at the bottom of the pit. The China visas were our lives for a few days. Although we provided flights into and out of China, given the sketchy entry and exit points whose names were unfamiliar to the counter agent Seoul to Harbin and Urumqui to Bishkek they requested all our flights from the time we leave Australia! And since we were on a roll all the mats in the gym were wiped down with soapy water. They are a country that has always had lots of self assurance and large doses of self confidence.

In fact, today for the first time I chain-bathed. Rolls of fat are sloughing off, revealing a svelte frame I haven't seen in ten years. Things I have not eaten: ice cream, bread, pastries, beer, chips. One surprisingly difficult and important task was the culling of our rock and shell collection down to a 1 liter yogurt container. We could have done with less final day tasks. Just pick any one-syllable word ending in L! I can already feel my body metamorphosing into a whole new me.
