Rule 7: Shitposts, memes, and plain box pictures are not allowed as linkposts you can still include them within normal posts or comments. I've got my eye on a refurbed PowerColor Vega 56 that's reference along with a couple of brand new reference model's from Asrock. It got loud but nothing crazy or unbearable. It uses a standard blower which is great for small cases but gets a bit loud under load if the fan profile is adjusted for performance. Nvidia is more plug and play and Vega is fun if you like to tweak.
. The lower the better for longer life of the graphics card. The thing about Navi is how smooth the gaming experience is. The 5700 is seen matching the standard 2060 whereas previously it consumed noticeably less power. . The Vega is most efficient around 1300mhz and the efficiency curve is bad once you get passed 1550mhz or so.
. . From our 12 game sample the Radeon was on average 1% faster, but this is not realistic as the massive win in Forza Horizon 4 skewed the result. It's how I found out I could hit 4. Otherwise it might pay off to wait, but Vega supply might dwindle closer to the launch.
Reference primarily for eventual water cooling. As always, open each chart in a separate tab for the best viewing. Benchmarks and prices are necessary to confirm. Vega 56 because it has more potential. Well built 570s can outperform cheapo 580s.
The latest drivers available at the time of testing have been used and all this data is fresh for this review and collected in the past two weeks. The wasn't as exciting as it essentially slotted into the existing pricing structure. At the moment the 5700 performance seems to be similar to Vega but for more money. Also if you were wondering why I have a 2080 Ti and a 1080p monitor. I would run 1440P~1800P depending on the game which gives you a nice image quality boost. I don't think it would be worth more than an extra 20 dollars or so though for me anyway.
Our latest game is Anno 1800. The 2060 is better than the vega 56 and uses less power to boot. Eventually, we had to do a clean driver install and did not open WattMan to maintain stability. Better performance, overclocking, and power usage. I bought it not too long after the initial release. .
. I'm not sure about Asrock and other brands since I only researched what was available to me. Great card though mate, you would not be disappointed. That cooler is really beefy too. If the post lacks a summary comment, it will be removed. Although Nvidia enjoys a performance advantage, particularly after their Super boost, their graphics cards also cost more, so it will be interesting to see how they all compare in the cost per frame analysis at the end of this review.
When compared to Vega 10, Navi packs 18% fewer transistors, but is almost 50% smaller at 251mm2. I've played with this care squeezing it out for fun more than I have played actual games in the month. Just remember that you can make it draw over 260w if you really, really want to. Thus making Navi more expensive leads to more sales of Vega and Polaris. I run rx560's in 2 of my boxes, and an rx570 in another and my radeon fury in my main. If the msi card you look for 5700 is a blower style card then stay away from them and wait for the custom 5700 models. We see the same thing with the standard 5700, although it matched the average frame rate of the 2070 Super, the 1% low result was well below that of the 2060 Super.
