Our story begins off the coast of Napoli… Passion for good food and wine runs deep in the family of Simona Sarpa. The restaurant itself is accommodating for a date night for two or larger party. Meatballs were dry and not very tasty either. I guess we should have known when all the other Italian Restaurants in Tampa were booked, and this venue had reservations available every 15 minutes. . My friend, who had been here before and liked her experience, was surprised at the poor quality of the food and service. The coffee flavor is bold, and the foam is luscious.

We reluctantly decided to leave and the service was extremely disappointing; there were no moves to make it right. Hope we get a different server next time too. This menu, which has been changed slightly since my last visit, calls out for your favorite vino, so come prepared with the Italian wine of your choice. Also of note is a crispy cornucopia of three Italian treats. Simone, the owner, is a beautiful sweet woman that aimes to please.

I absolutely love this place! We opt to share the impepata di cozze starter, a big bowl overflowing with fresh mussels in a light broth dotted with soft cherry tomatoes. . If you are in a big hurry, call in a to go order. I don't believe we saw another employee the entire time, which was incredibly impressive for him to juggle so many tables, while also making us feel like we were in the restaurant alone. I had been looking for awesome Italian food here in Tampa for a while since visiting vinny's in New York and so far this place is it. Please modify your Trip and try again.

I had the Spaghetti a la Carbonara so yummy! Our server speaks little english. . After 5 minutes I inquired about this and was told it was lasagna so they were working on it. . The restaurant is a little hard to notice, but if you find it you will be happy! We really enjoyed our dinner here last week.

Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit. He goes back to the bar and stares at our ticket on which he wrote pizza and soup but apparently did not give to the cook. . The service is always friendly and welcoming. An absolute favorite and must visit anytime I am in the Tampa area. Chicken saltimbocca with prosciutto di Parma and sage is classic. At Viva Napoli you are getting authentic Neapolitan pizza and dishes. We are at 9 pm so we had the entire place to ourself, which was really nice. You'll find out that everything is as good as everyone talks about.

Start your meal with fried risotto balls, vegetable soup or prosciutto e melone. Other yelpers rave about the pizza. Simone best of luck to you and much success. She also got the order wrong. We will definitely be back again. We had 6 adults and our baby and were able to get a reservation the same day. Speaking of that bucket list, I've been trying to check every place off that list that I considered to be of major interest to me.

The crust had pillows of air and char in complete perfection!!! We brought our own bottle of wine and were charged a reasonable corking fee, so I didn't pay much attention to the wine menu. We started with an eggplant Parmesan appetizer and ate every bite. Allergy-friendly offerings are reliant on supplier ingredient labels. Overall humorous experience and we will not be back. My favorite is the assertive pesto, although my company sees it as too aggressive, preferring the mild blue cheese — which to me lacks the punch to balance the presence of basil and garlic. I didn't realize when I ordered that this pizza did not have marinara, but that was my fault.

As for the food, we were not super hungry, so we opted to just split a salad and a pizza - The Greca Napoli salad and the Crudo e Rucola pizza. Ordered appetizers and had to ask after 30 minutes where they were. I have no idea what was here prior, but the paintings of Naples on the wall were such a nice touch. The emphasis on fresh ingredients and the comfort factor of pasta and pizza are hard to beat. We had all finished our dinners. She told us it was an unassuming restaurant with wonderful food. We overheard other guests talking about it as well.
