This drive is definitely a helium model. The drive and inclusions are packed neatly and safely. It did change the sound profile somewhat, but the noise is still there. I've noticed that the 2 new 12tb drives are running considerably cooler then my 6tb units. If such is true, I am not aware of any prominent advantage of such a feature … Elements models are not encrypted, but other models most probably are.
