A pair of rinky, dinky amplifiers from Yamaha offer just enough facilities for a small footprint chassis, including MusicCast. It would work better that way, and generally, everything works better. I am planning to buy a Rotel rsx 1550. Denon and Yamaha each has a similar hub, so the problems with WiFi don't need to exist.

Do you know how the two compare? I don't know if anything like this will be dead nuts wired perfect but its very good now. If we were evaluating the Yamaha speakers as part of a larger sound system, the lack of low-end response would be less troublesome as other speakers or perhaps a sub-woofer could fill in the missing frequencies. The reason for connecting the A1r blocks was to show that the Yamaha can connect to older hardware or hardware lacking in modern connective facilities. The app failed to complete the install sequence another three times but I got there at the fourth attempt. It's nicely made, even down to a quarter of rubber feet.

Yamaha's tech support has proved themselves, to me- I don't remember receiving this kind of attention from any other manufacturer, unless I know someone. The aerial is the home of the screw-in, multi-position, Wi-Fi aerial. And the Brio is a fine sounding amp, I recommend it. I am a relative newbie to hifi so bear with me. Do you see the preamp in the Yamaha as a higher end product that should improve markedly on an existing system vs buying a free standing audiophile preamp say a Parasound P5.

Both arrive with MusicCast Wi-Fi streaming as standard and come with a 48bit digital volume control. Not much bigger than a media player, the little puck can be sit beside or atop your chosen Hi-Fi.
