They have a selection of music on display, but if there's something you've been looking for and haven't been able to find either in their store or online, chances are they'll know just where to find it, sometimes online or sometimes in another store's inventory or even through their own personal contacts. Great selection and prices with a friendly and knowledgeable staff earn my five stars! They had a really cozy space, and some friendly people working the counter. I was driving ~1 hour to the shop. Joel Ryan is the best trumpet repairman in the entire bay area. All the staff is knowledgable, caring, and professional. He said he is the musical instrument manager, but he clearly has some bias towards Asians or to his customers. I'm glad that this place is here because there's not a lot of these type of places anymore.

They also have different music lessons. Theres a reason they've been in business for so long. Please don't believe that they will give you store credit. Today I decided to check it out on my break so I can actually know first hand what I've been recommending. Of course they were not able to find this line. I came in with a rusted string in the bridge of my Takamine acoustic guitar, I'd been trying to yank it out for a month. When I've brought in a problem needing specific equipment or repair work they thought another music store not related to them could handle better, they've referred me. We didn't shop around for prices prior to come to the store, but their prices seem reasonable. They have rent to own program. Their prices are often not the lowest, but they have a knowledgeable staff that has had what proved to be the best answers to my questions, over and over. Rent amounts will be deduct from total purchase price. I can have this store credit to use in store.

My instrument is a new trumpet to rent, so that's cool. I thought that was really nice of him. We looked for a trumpet for my son. Every time I've bought something, I've been helped with gratitude without the feeling of getting hustled or ripped off. I took my tenor ukulele here to buy strings and get them changed. My son enjoys the band and he's been in it since the 6th grade and has continued on in high school so we've been here numerous times.

It was late in the evening, shop should be close soon. I was without my son to measuring arm size. I'm more worried about clumsy kids losing or dropping the instrument but alas, no such insurance. Having the option to rent instead of buying makes a huge difference in whether he can join the school band or not. This store is help keeping music alive in the schools and community. Person who sold and rented violins told me that part of my renting price will be a store credit. I've taken ukele lessons there and had a really good time.

I didn't do any research on violins quality and prices. Very happy with the service and staff. I'm very grateful to have them as a community resource. I also like that they are in Fremont which is not that far of a drive from us. He is also a great jazz trumpet player so he knows exactly what he is talking about at all times. Their music teachers all having degrees in their instruments and are professional players as well.

Before my child joined the band, I had no idea that this place even existed. They rejected to give me store credit again. He explained details to us about different made and model of each trumpet. We are very happy with their service. Store manager couldn't find this line also. My child started to play violin, which our family had no experience with. We are actually currently renting an instrument that he's playing at school through here.

You cannot predict which part of their instruments will break and it's impossible to stock up on everything that they might need so whenever he needed something right away, this is the place that we run to. I had some extra questions about the instrument rentals, which I have all the rights to ask questions when he was not communicating, and he just straight up scoffed and laughed at me for asking. Their prices are quite high compared to eBay, Amazon, etc. James was amazing, not only did he do a stellar job replacing my strings, he also showed me how to actually do it so I could go home and change the strings on my other ukulele all by myself which I did with no problems at all. I couldn't find this line. He was also able to get me one piece of sheet music, at a much lower cost, so I wouldn't have to buy a whole book just for the one song I wanted to learn.
