The food also comes pretty fast. Get your life together and check this place out. Or the October autumn evening, sitting under a heat lamp in the adjacent covered bench area. When I say these sandwiches took me to unnameable places. Its loaded with so much flavor! We're so glad this restaurant opened in Danmarksplass. Clearly this a gathering place for great food and friends! Both visits were at the 15th Ave W location, haven't been to the Shilshoe one in awhile.
The Caribbean Roast 1 is our go-to, minus the jalapeños. Summary: It ain't Paseo, nuff said. It may not look fancy but this is one of the best dining experiences I've had in Seattle. We stopped by here for lunch after a visit to Gas Works Park. Fast forward to August, this time I've learned my lesson, and ordered my own sandwich! When I think of memorable sandwiches, I think of Paseos, but now that I've tried out Un Bien, I can put them on that top list as well.
I wanted the second half the minute I bit into the Carribean Roast 1. In terms of the wait, I was here on a warm, sunny day in January and the wait was about 15 minutes from getting in line to receiving my order. It's a rather average, everyday sandwich: not something I'd return for or crave. I had the Caribbean Roast sandwich which was delicious. I'm hoping to try that sometime.
The only reason I've waited so long to review this place is cuz I want to keep the line from getting too long--Keep letting everyone wait in line at Paseo meanwhile I'll be enjoying my superior sandwich with all the cool kids, at Un Bien. This is the place we would recommend most, you can really relax, have fun and take it easy here. I won't go into its history. That carefree feeling to your exhibitionist tendencies with that fire roasted corn. We have yet to deviate from that sandwich, but we will one day! Service: The service is great. There are actually two restaurants in this location, a casual restaurant called Bien Bar, and a more upscale restaurant simply called Bien.
The menu is a four course fixed price menu with wine parings available. I would definitely go again, and take friends who fancy meaty sandwiches along! Caribbean Roast is also made to perfection. Paseo vs Un Bien, like Ezell's vs Heaven Sent, like Shiro's vs Sushi Kashiba, and others. In fact, I'd prefer an Ike's sandwich Idk if there are any locations in Washington, but it's a pretty big chain in California. I hope if you're looking for you already know what this place is all about, and let me tell you the hype is real! The ambiance was good and they have a great selection of sandwiches. Food with simple ingredients that yield dazzling flavors, grooving to your favorite club beat, or intense passionate lovemaking. Bien Basar is located in Kjøttbasaren — the stylish old food market known as «the Meat Bazaar» — in the middle of the historic center of Bergen.
Finally, it's all about the instant gratification taking said order and enjoying it sitting al fresco on a warm, sunny day. Good sizes and really satisfying. Or the November evening after a long work day, this freeway warrior with a mighty bout of hangry, polished off the salad, marinated juicy chicken thighs, beans and rice dinner combo. Great place to visit - the interior is not very cosy but alright - decent assortment of beers but the staff weren't very knowledgeable. Quick, tasty and a little rough around the edges - just how I like my sandwiches. The place has a small section for dining, but seating is quite limited.
With so many things to try on the menu, I will return soon to try some more things out. The Caribbean Roast is the most popular, and it is also my favorite. All of the dishes will really wonderful and beautifully plated. Our vision is to present the best food and drinks Western Norway has to offer in an elegant, yet simple way. Their pork sandwich is excellent as are many of the sides. I will be traveling to Seattle just for this meal, this is not a joke. Being in the moment, licking your fingers, and basking in the afterglow thinking 'hot damn that was amazing! Overall, will continue to come back! Fortunately I like hot dishes and think it was tasty, however if I'd known before I would suggest to add cheese to get a more balanced flavour.
If you saw me, you would've thought there was definitely something primal about the way I devoured these sandwiches. The sandwiches are quite tasty and they are very efficient. This sandwich is juicy and messy, so be prepared for things to be squirting and falling out everywhere but its oh so worth the mess! We had one person wait on us who was terrific, he explained the ingredients in every dish and brought us multiple additional courses. My name was called quickly, and the sandwich came out hot as ever, with steam rolling off the top. It's a bit quieter, and there's a lot more parking on the streets.
The hamburger is pretty tasty and the french fries are very good. The prices are super reasonable approx. One star cut because 1 they were out of the Caribbean roast at 7:30 pm, and 2 it's pretty hard to eat there because it's a food truck with makeshift seating albeit heated seating. The meat was kind of boring and dry and the beans were way too sweet. The sons of Paseo owner opened Un Bien, and since the closure and reopening of Paseos, I just haven't been back since the new ownership.
