Even the 1973 Chevelle Coupe at 202. They could have called it Coronado good , Pismo, Redondo, Huntington not so good ……. The 400 motor was rebuilt three years ago. I also believe that there was a manual latch to release before turning the seat. Yes, out of less than 500 Daytona made, I saw 2 in my home town not long after they were released.
These Lagunas were configured a variety of different ways, and this one sports the optional four-barrel 400 V8 and swivel seats. First one was stolen and never recovered. I feel much safer with a heavy door any day! Unfortunately, this was common with plastic technology of this era. Which brings up…how many big block Colonades have you seen in the flesh? For example, the front swivel seats were standard equipment in 1974, but an available upgrade in 1976. But, middle America wanted Cutlass Supremes with velour seats, opera windows and vinyl tops.
I doubt that was coincidence. Because aside from protecting your fuel system and engine from rust, the fuel stabilizer will also prevent ethanol buildup and would give the engine additional protection from gum and varnish. Motor runs strong does not feel like 1974 350, rans shift great and rear end makes no noise. The folks at Chevy could certainly cut corners to keep prices down, but these cuts never came at the expense of styling or trim. I would have loved to have something like this in my departed 1995 M3.
I would drive this car any where. The right front fender looks like it was replaced, and the gap between the front section and the fender looks off. One issue with these Lagunas noses is the plastic does not age well and they are hard to restore. Introduced in January 1975—well into the 1975 model year—the S-3 was hardly a retail success: even considering its short 1975 run, 7,788 sales of a sporting Chevrolet A-body was dismal. The first Laguna I saw was in a Chevy dealership in Sacramento in that exact color in early 1973! You can inspect the vehicle in person if preferred as it is located in the Houston Texas area.
It was if the Charger name was made into a sedan…. One rear sail panel has some chips and a replacement panel is included. As common as they were on the roads, the styling of both generations was really distinctive, and I like them to this day. Ran 8 years ago until mice ate some spark plug wires and a few compartment wires. The car was repainted 10 yrs ago in the original colors, and shows beautifully.
The styling was never quite there for me. We're confident you'll enjoy the experience! Inside, drivers were treated to a gauge-heavy Rallye cluster. The iPhone handles funky lighting conditions so much better. I believe the front end did not fair well in crash tests? Of course I agree that the Road Runner decals, etc. When this car was new, I was anything but a Chevy fan, and thus paid virtually no attention to these. I still think about that car though. But even after its hard life, this S-3 still has enough swagger to make it my new favorite Chevrolet Colonnade. I remember he had the column tilted upward which showed off the beautiful optional Sport Steering Wheel.

Then, you sit down and find something to grab onto to swing the seat back forward. This was the start of downgrading the Chevelle name, leading to only Malibu of 1978-83.
