As soon as I accessed Hotmail, I turned the Norton firewall on, and I was able to use all of the functions of my Hotmail account. Took the message off and the account froze again. My husband uses the newest layout but I use the older one. . I hope this post is helpful. I didnt have time to investigate what caused it originally. I have no idea whether this is a Microsoft problem or a Virgin Media issue. I transferred all of my contacts to a new Gmail acct now. The vast amount of reports are that the account is lost forever. The guy told me he could fix it but it would cost £69. Maybe it was a stupid oversight but no one specifically told me to look for it.

It has my number ending in 43 when it ends in 09. So I went and used the computer at the library anc chose GoogleChrome and I was able to Login to my Hotmail account. The whole thing looks a mess and I cannot understand it at all. Upgrading should only take a few minutes. Apparently there have been problems since Hotmail changed to Outlook. I verified them by logging on to the hotmail site successfully. Why if things are working can they not leave it alone or give us the option to change.
