The Astro is a slightly better gaming headset than the HyperX Cloud Flight. Unfortunately, though decently well built, they do not feel as sturdy as some of the other Hyper X models. The dial is larger, which I like and has a more tactile feel, as compared to other sets. The buttons are also slightly mushy but still deliver enough tactile feedback when you press them. They can sound a bit sharp on some bright tracks due to the peaks in the higher-frequencies but overall they have a fairly even sound that should cater well to most songs and music genres.
In the bass range, the maximum amount of deviation across multiple users at 100Hz is about 7dB, which is quite significant and noticeable. However, their treble delivery is quite consistent across multiple re-seats and positions, which is good. I love that it easily is removed the mic too.
