She really loved him before presuming him dead and running off with some guy to have his baby. However, at this point Dan Frost suddenly appears and tells the thug to leave Jane alone. McGregor slips into his villain role so skillfully that it might take some viewers a couple of scenes to realize that it is him. Eventually, he heard that she had on a led by John Bishop. I think I got it. The film occasionally drifts to flashback to better establish the relationship Jane has with both of the men in her life, her wounded husband and her one-time companion and lover who has revoked his own pledge to stay way from Jane in the name of saving her life, or at least trying to save her life, in the face of practically impossible odds.
Like many of the great Westerns before it, story complexity isn't at the forefront of Jane Got a Gun. Jane is distraught when Ham tells her that Mary is dead. Expecting the worst, she brings her young daughter to safety and travels to the home of Dan Frost Joel Edgerton , a boozing ex-lover who may be her only hope. Jane Got a Gun was photographed on film, and the more textured, mildly gritty façade befits the movie's place and tone. On April 24, 2014, the studio set a release date for February 20, 2015 for the film, which was later moved back to September 4. The cast is quite good, despite its somewhat patchwork assemblage. I must appreciate the cast, particularly the lead two actors, Natalie Portman and Joel Edgerton. That does not mean it is full of cliché, maybe they expected the film to be more harsh and violent like most of the high profile western films do. Fitchum holds his 1860 on Jane with one hand and pulls a double-action Starr with the other when confronted by Frost and his Henry. It is obvious from their brief conversation that there is some past history — and bitterness - between Dan and Jane. Dan, a somewhat surly man who lives in a squalid, dirty house, refuses to help.
For others, it comes closer to working than anyone might have rightly have expected given its peculiar backstory but not quite to the point where it would be worth heading out to the theater to see. The story finally gets some exposition in the second half. Later, Jane tells Dan her side of the story. She then rides to the home of a neighbor, Dan Frost, and asks him if he will help her to protect her property from the Bishop Boys. Joel Edgerton has quite a future as an actor and writer, and Noah Emmerich Maybe Natalie didn't ever really really occupy this character, but she did pretty well. Genre fans should not hesitate to cheek it out. It bowed against Kung Fu Panda 3, and Fifty Shades of Black.
It was nothing like only for men, but still R rated. However such historical nitpicking doesn't detract from the fact that the production made an effort to use a more period correct revolver. Even Darth Vader threw himself in a river of lava to burn the memories away. How many times do I have to warn those guys? Because it was kind of 'all's well, ends well' story. It's the New Mexico Territory in 1871.

Music enjoys solid enough clarity and definition, with lighter notes hovering along the front and heavier beats offering a more enveloping experience. With Dan now on her side, Jane prepares for a showdown with the vengeful John Bishop and his gang of thugs.
Ewan McGregor was a disappointment with his useless role. Anchor Bay's Blu-ray is disappointingly, but unsurprisingly, absent supplemental content. But it's not in any way melodramatic. See details for additional description. She thought that he was killed during the civil war and she married Ham afterwards where they got entangled with the Bishop boys.
Literally one week later, Ramsay left the film in a move that set off all manner of legal fireworks before eventually being settled out of court. Bishop later wields the revolver alongside a Colt 1860 Army in the climactic shootout. With Dan now on her side, Jane prepares for a showdown with the vengeful John Bishop and his gang of thugs. He reluctantly agrees, finding himself in the middle of a deadly showdown, vowing to protect the woman who once left him for another man. . Probably on underrated film, but for me, I'm sure it is an underrated film.
