I was so happy to receive this lens as I had sold my Summilux 35mm f1. Personally, I prefer the current version 35mm Summicron. You can shoot landscape, portrait, street, you name it. Expensive, with beautiful optics, but I never enjoyed the way it felt on the camera. But for the most part, the five versions of the 35mm Summicron are more similar than different. The lens barrel is a bit wider too.

REVIEW

I often times use small bags too, so when I put my camera back into my bag, the lens rubs against the bag as I place it back in. Happy holiday to you as well. With their respective hoods they are pretty darn close in size. I have used it almost always until just recently when I have been experimenting a bit without it just a clear filter to protect the glass. Speaking of small size, the lens hood is not.
