I wanted the Tamarind Duck dish but they were unwilling to substitute the Tamarind sauce with the Basil sauce so I just went with the Basil Duck dish. We ordered crab fried rice, pad woonsen with chicken, red curry with shrimp and pad Thai with beef and chicken requested no tofu - it comes with it. They were closed and said they would reopen at 5:00 P. Next time, and I will go back, I'll spice it up some. I have been to every thai restaurant in Denton and I stan Thai Ocha, the curry is perfect and filled with delicious ingredients!!! You see I cant do business with a restaurant that I don't know if it is open or closed.

My hopes were pretty high and I had looked through all the reviews and pics to have some idea of what to expect. Freaking Manager did not even come out to show some courtesy or apologize, she just kept sending back the Poor waitress, who was trying to do what she could. Rated This place is ok, not bad, acceptable, et al. Taste good thai iced tea, coffee or ice tea, it's a must when visiting this spot. For the main course, I ordered the Basil Duck stir fry with brown rice.

Now I kinda like it a little over cook bc it's extra crispy on the outside. You've got to try the green or panang curry!!! As with any restaurant some items are better than others and I suggest avoiding dishes that seem to have been created solely for locals who may be unfamiliar with, or afraid of, spicy Thai foods. Are they really going to reopen at 5:00 P. We asked for three extra plates so that we could share the entrees and try the variety of dishes. The service was on point and you get alot of food. All items on the menu can be made vegetarian, and customers can specify the desired level of spiciness. The soup was very mild and to be honest it was bland.

My daughter recommended Thai Ocha, so we made our way there, and were glad we did. The place is old and a bit rundown in appearance but once you cross the threshold you'll find the decor comfortable, the staff very warm and welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious. I never make so much fuss about these things but my wife is 5 months pregnant and we just wanted to make sure she did not eat some piece of the band from my curry, she was freaking out but no one even cared. I'll definitely return to try the other dishes. I had been looking forward to eating here for a while.

Not great flavor and definitely didn't want to take the leftovers home. Good serving size- we had some leftovers to take home! What the heck Thai Cafe? Everything is fresh and expertly cooked with just the right amounts of seasoning and great presentation. Got a rubber band in my Green Curry dish. I almost choked on this and pulled it out to show it to the waitress, she was shocked too but tried to make it look like it was not a big deal. I really enjoyed how the flavors were so well defined, it was just so rich with coconut milk and you could really taste the pineapple. I was happy to see they added yellow curry to the menu, my favorite.

Please modify your Trip and try again. Your Trip has too many items in it. The curry was actually pretty thin and watery. My wife works nearby and we're about to become frequent customers. We come here several times a month and ordered Togo.

They lost me as a customer before they ever had me. My rating is a 3. We enjoyed our meal and left fully satisfied. Even my mom said this taste like the real deal. They upcharged everything and wanted to charge for chili paste.

Not that familiar with Thai food. Thai Cafe is located adjacent to Eco Wheelz off of Main Street. The Tom yum soup was good too. After a five hour drive to Denton, we were looking to enjoy a nice meal. Atmosphere was inviting, comfortable and relaxing.

The clouds parted and angels chanted songs of culinary goodness. Go with the authentic, Thai-spicey food and you are in for some great Thai eating. I had lunch with a former teacher of mine and she was telling me how this is her favorite restaurant, now I know why. Rated Very nice new restaurant! Disappointed to spend more than intended and not get the quality or what we even ordered. I like my food spicy so ordered it at 5.

There were a few chunks of cabbage, a few mushrooms, some onions, and a few other things. Do I really want to go in there? There are at least two or three other Thai places in Denton where I've had much better meals. But, I'll probably give Thai Ocha another chance because perhaps I just odered something that wasn't the best choice for my pallet. I grew up eating the authentic thing and this doesn't cut it for me. My daughter had the chicken pad se ew noddles with chicken.
