Yeah, I got yelled at all day. We played a show yesterday at Irving Plaza! C To the first one ………………. And then you're touring in support of that. C To the first one ………………. What was that experience like? I was a bit scared, but they were really into it.

I was floating in this happy wave of having figured out my life at such an early age. It's a very specific thing, studying different species in the water. I was into a lot of 80s music while writing that, and listening to Elton John and Queen and Toto. The single is dropping May 24, correct? GÂ Running through em just to try and catch a feeling …………. So is Norway a nurturing environment for an artist? Who was involved in that? Like, I don't know, a Mark Ronson. And exactly ten years later, it made a comeback! Are you supporting any other music? Before that show I didn't write music, but afterwards I started getting into songwriting, and finding producers.

. How do you normally write? Em Yeah I knew what I been doing ………………………………………………………………. I see you were on a Fendi campaign: did you get a bunch of swag? G Never let you in enough ………………………C Not your fault I gave too much To the first one CÂ DÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Em To all the ones I ever hurt ……………………. That's a hard question to answer, because I was so young. Was it a stereotypical fashion shoot you see in movies, where the photographer is yelling at the models and gesticulating? But writing with a piano or a guitar is something I used to do a lot of at the beginning, but now I'm more inspired by a cool beat, or a track, or a cool synth sound. And after that everything just started to kick off.

Again, though, I was so young…I had great people that I worked with me and who trusted and respected me as a musician, and always felt like my voice was heard and I was in control of my own music. One last question: If you weren't a musician, what would you be doing instead? It's been a while, but let me think. It was the Norwegian version of American idol. It's just two and a half weeks. It was very outside my comfort zone, those kind of photo shoots. I know I shouldn't say what I'm 'bout to say 'Cause it's never okay to go and bring your exes up No matter what My second and my third, I hate they got the worst of me They don't deserve the way that I was treating them I'd lead them on When I knew what I was doing I was stupid, I was ruined, I was healing But the healing never happened And I'm sorry that I did you wrong To all the ones I ever loved Never let you in enough Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one To all the ones I ever hurt Always knew it wouldn't work Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one There ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah I just can't forget some of the words he said The memories in my bed keep coming back again Like daggers in my mind, yeah They draw blood all night, yeah Yeah, I know what I've been doing Running through 'em just to try and catch a feeling But the feeling never happened And I'm sorry that I did you wrong To all the ones I ever loved Never let you in enough Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one To all the ones I ever hurt Always knew it wouldn't work Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one There ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah, yeah No, there ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah, yeah Promise that it kills Every time you send A picture from a place You and I used to go I hope you know To all the ones I ever loved Never let you in enough Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one To all the ones I ever hurt Always knew it wouldn't work Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one There ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah, yeah No, there ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah, yeah No, there ain't nothing I can do about it, yeah, yeah No, there ain't nothing I can do about it Yeah, yeah.

. G Never let you in enough ………………………C Not your fault I gave too much To the first one, to the first one DÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Em All the ones I ever hurt ……………………. My view on it is, yes, it's very nurturing in Norway. Sorry, what do you mean? I had told my mom how I really wanted to be on the show, but she told me I couldn't do it until I was 16 years old, in ten years. Are you getting to any smaller cities? I'm on a tour with Zara Larsson.

Where is the tour taking you? It's kind of like speed dating. Well, I'm also touring just to generally play my music live, be in the States, network, meet fans, etc. Before that I hadn't done much music. And when I was 14 I started listening to John Mayer, so I got a guitar. Lyrically, it stands out from the rest, it's more intimate. So you got an agent, and then what happened? DÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Em To all the ones I ever loved ………………….

Did you find, growing up in Norway, that artists and the arts are respected there? In general, I'm a naive and happy person. It was more of a hobby. Are you a designer clothing wearer, or a thrift shop diver like me? Had you done any other high profile commercial work? The hook is right there at the beginning. I got to work with Jason Gill, who I had worked with several times without releasing anything, and finally we did something that was released. So far, I've been in L. God, I would love to work with him! Tell me a little bit about your journey from non-musician to musician, and from Norway to the rest of the world. After that show, I decide this is what I'd like to do.
